Tag You're It Challenge #53

I'm playing along with Tag You're It Challenge #53 because, Michele.

She created the sweetest bookmark/tag which inspired me to create this.

I was going to use floral images but while going through my stash of new
goodies, this Memory Box bunny fell to the floor and I took that as a sign.

And I finally got a chance to use the clouds embossing folder that was
gifted to me by my "sis" Teresa, that provided the perfect background for
a flyaway bunny. Thanks for stopping by!

April Showers

I'm joining the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp where this week's theme is
April Showers and/or Spring Flowers. Since they're showcasing Memory Box products,
I pulled out the Memory Box umbrella die for my card.

I masked off a portion of the card with Post It Tape and ink distressed with
two colors of Distress inks and spattered it with water. Three umbrellas were die cut
from watercolor cardstock and ink distressed, then adhered to the panel.

I added some "raindrops" with Glossy Accents and finished off the card
with my favorite Paper Smooches sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Memory Box Florina Corner

Several months ago, I won this intricate Florina Corner die from a Memory Box blog hop.

I thought about leaving it uncolored and making a white on white card,
but I'm participating in Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Are you?
She's encouraging everyone to spend at least 5 minutes a day coloring something.
So I grabbed my Distress markers and colored this.

I confess to having a brown thumb and I don't really know what type of flowers
are on this die, so I just winged it. I adhered it to an ink distressed card
and added a gold embossed sentiment from Hero Arts.

Next on the agenda is to try that white on white card.
Thanks Memory Box, for the gorgeous die--it really pays to comment!

The Card Concept 8--Umbrella

I'm joining my first Card Concept Challenge because the theme is to use an UMBRELLA.
I just couldn't resist.

The colored umbrellas were die cut from a scrap piece, and I also die cut
three white umbrellas and mounted them randomly to mimic the challenge photo.
The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter.

The white umbrellas were an afterthought. At first I had just the colored ones
and that's when my card was Clean and Simple. Now it's Clean and Layered. I think.
Still lots of white space and layers of umbrellas.

Thanks, always, for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch #8 & Season of Love

Here's the current sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch and here's my very literal take,
right down to the use of flowers.

Fresh Daisies were colored with Copics and paired with
an Ali Edwards sentiment. I stamped the Graph Background from Hero Arts
to add a bit of texture to the card.

 * * *

And I just want to share...

When my card won the ORANGE cue word at CASology, I won a prize of
a stamp set from Cindy Coutts, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

She's offering a two week online card class called SEASON OF LOVE

The full price is $24.95 but if you preregister from now until January 1st,
there is a $5 discount. Additionally, everyone who signs up early will receive a gift
valued at no less than $15. How sweet is that?
