Got Snowflakes?

Ever since I saw this fabulous shaped card by my friend Sarah,
I wanted to make one, too. Sarah loves making shaped cards as much as I do.

I bought the stamp when it was Hero Arts' Stamp of the Week--did you?--picked up
the matching die and the fun began.

After inking up the stamp, I spritzed it with water and then stamped it
for a watercolored look. The sentiments are from a discontinued Hero Arts set.

I also stamped a few snowflakes without spritzing, but I like the melty snowflake look.
The snowflakes are a nice size and can be either a card or a tag.
And being "scissors impaired", I'm getting quite spoiled with stamps
that have matching dies!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!

believe!

Here's a card featuring Berry from Stacey Yacula's Sweetest Season collection.

Berry was colored with Copics and turned into a Polaroid. I attached it to a woodgrain embossed card base and tied some coordinating ribbon. Isn't he the sweetest?

You can find Berry and the rest of the Sweetest Season at Purple Onion Designs.
Remember to use the code HOL2012 at the checkout to receive
a 25% discount on all stamps
It's a sweet deal that expires on Sunday, December 2nd.

A washi Christmas tree

Paper Crafts November 2012 Challenge is to use washi tape on your project and
I wanted to join in and dehoard my stash of tapes.

After covering a piece of cardstock with different shades of green washi tape,
I diecut PTI's christmas tree and attached it to kraft cardstock that was stamped with
Hero Arts' woodgrain stamp. I added a few gems, a washi tape star, and the sentiment
is from Paper Smooches.

I entered this just under the wire--tomorrow is the deadline!

Happy Thanksgiving and a POD Sale!

Just popping in to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and give you a heads up on a fantastic sale starting tomorrow at Purple Onion Designs.

From November 23rd thru Sunday, December 2nd, all stamps are 25% off! Enter code HOL2012 during checkout.

We're celebrating a quiet Thanksgiving this year since our daughter is recovering from jaw surgery and her jaw is wired shut for the next 5 weeks.

We're thankful that the surgery was successful and she's healing and recuperating so well. We'll have a big celebration when the wires come off and I'll bake another ham for her then.

I'm thankful as always for your visits and sweet comments, too. Enjoy your Black Friday shopping tomorrow, and I'll see you back here on Saturday!

CASology Guest Designer!

Once again, I'm honored to be guest designing at CASology.
Last week my ORANGE card was chosen as the winner--thank you, Tracey!
--and I received an invitation from Melissa to play along with this week's cue word.

With Thanksgiving approaching, the cue word is GOBBLE
and although there are different ways to interpret the word, I chose the obvious.
A turkey. Paper Smooches My Peeps set allows you to build your own bird,
right down to the little wattle thingy.

And the self constructed sentiment happens to be my mantra for Thanksgiving.
Some of you know that I'm not a big turkey fan and it's Costco's spiral cut ham
that really makes me happy!

What do you envision when you hear the word GOBBLE? Play along with CASology this week
and visit the blog to see the design team's interpretation of the word.

I'll also be entering this card in Simon Says Stamp's Thanksgiving/Thank You challenge.

Thanks so much for visiting today!
