Washi Tape Inspiration

What inspires you when you create a card? I was inspired by washi tape.
As soon as I saw Hero Arts' new Tiny Flags Background stamp,
I knew that it was going to be gold embossed and ink distressed.

Here's the inspiration, given to me by a sweet friend.
It's so gorgeous that I'm still hoarding it.

And here are my cards.

My daughter's reaction to both cards:  "Wow....it's so......so......"
She had no words.

I'm entering both cards in Paper Crafts Connection November Gallery Challenge
of SEQUINS since I used a few on both cards. Because they needed more bling....

Thanks, always, for stopping by!

Snowflake Cards

This month's challenge at Hero Arts has several categories.
I've decided to enter these snowflake cards under Favorite Things--
ink distressing technique on shaped cards.

The snowflakes were white embossed, die cut and ink distressed.
The sentiments were done the same way and I tucked in a silver banner by Avery Elle.

Here's a shot of twelve cards that I sent to Vera's Caring Hearts Card Drive
to bring some cheer to folks in nursing homes. Such a good cause!

I'll be taking a little blog break to spend Thanksgiving on Kauai.
I'm so thankful for your visits to my blog and for your kind comments as well.
Wishing all of you in the US who celebrate the holiday, a Happy Thanksgiving!

Celebrate With Avery Elle

This week at Avery Elle, Jamie let us choose our project(s) to share with you.
My first project is a wine tag using CHEERS that could be used as a centerpiece
for a wedding or bridal shower, or to top a last minute birthday gift.

After die cutting the sentiment, I added three flowers that were made
with the four leaf die from ICON FILL IN THE BLANK. Each flower was topped off
with a small white pearl.

I used the same dies to create more flowers for a white on white
wedding or anniversary card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and check out Nina's blog
to see her Avery Elle project.

CASology--BELL

This week's cue word at CASology is BELL. Here's my take on it.

I die cut three non traditional colors of foil cardstock
with Avery Elle's small bell die and paired it with a sentiment from Hero Arts.
I apologize for the wonkiness of the colors.
Maybe I should have gone with just silver bells.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch 55--A Two Weeker!

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 55 by former teammate Karolyn Loncon.

And here's my card.

I paired Studio Calico patterned paper with Memory Box Cosmic Stars
and finished off with a sentiment from Paper Smooches, cut apart to form a one liner.

And as I mentioned in the post title, it's a two week challenge since most of us
in the US will be celebrating Turkey Day and we still want you to get sketchy with us!

Be sure to link up your card(s) by Thursday, December 5th at 9am EST.
Thanks so much for stoppin' by!
