CASology 5th Anniversary Blog Hop

http://casology.blogspot.com/2017/07/5-year-anniversary-balloon-blog-hop.html

Melissa and her team are celebrating a 5 year Anniversary with a fun Blog Hop!

CASology is one of the first challenges that I joined and my CAS heart is always
happy there. I've also had the honor of guesting several times and Melissa
is always so gracious and wonderful to work with.

Here's a look back at some of my favorite CASology projects:

This week the cue word is BALLOON.

And here's my take on it.

I die cut five of Avery Elle's number balloons and inked them in rainbow order,
adhered them to a card and stamped the sentiment. Tiny clear sequins finished
off the card.

Happy 5th Birthday, CASology!
Here's to many more years of CAS inspiration

CASology Guest Designer

http://casology.blogspot.com/2017/04/week-246-season.html

I'm guesting for this week's CASology challenge, since my ICING card
was chosen as the weekly winner! Here's this week's cue word.

http://casology.blogspot.com/2017/04/week-246-season.html

And here's how I interpreted the word--with springtime butterflies.

I ink distressed three butterflies and adhered them to the card, leaving
as much white space as possible. I adhered the label sentiment, a few sequins,
and finished the card by rounding off the bottom left corner.

We hope you'll join this week's challenge and share your interpretation of the
cue word. You have until Monday, May 1st at 12PM CST to link up your card.
And big thanks to Melissa and the CASology girls for having me as a guest!

CASology #243--Icing

It's been a while since I've joined a CASology challenge! The cue word
caught my eye and I couldn't resist.

Here's how I was inspired.....iced cookies!

Truthfully, I was organizing my supplies and this set was not in its right place.
I took that as a sign. Plus, there were some cookies that were already die cut.
I just added the icing on all of them, some highlights with a white pigment pen,
and adhered them to a card.

The sentiment? I'm sending this card to a dear friend who just went through
a major surgery and came through with flying colors. Her warrior attitude
and resilience is so inspiring and I wanted her to know how much I admire
her strength and courage.

Thanks for stopping by today!

(Edited to add: My card was chosen as the weekly winner! Thanks, CASology!)

CASology--Forest

It's been quite a while since I've joined a CASology challenge. I'm linking up
this card just under the wire for this week's challenge.

Here's my card.

This card came together quickly, thanks to some tree parts that I had in my
stash of diecuts. I colored the tops with Zig markers and added trunks to them.
I adhered them to a card base and grounded them with the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great (long) weekend!

Edited to add: My card got an Honorable Mention shout out!

CASology--Flutter

It's been a while since I joined CASology's challenges and decided to jump in
after I saw this week's cue word.

Here's my card.

Fluttering leaves. I had a bunch of ink distressed leaves in my scrap pile
and attached them to a skinny card to depict fluttering.
The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles.

I'm off to peruse the gallery. Thanks for stopping by!
