MFT Birds of a Feather Card Kit Release

It's time! You may now purchase the Birds of a Feather Card Kit in the MFT Store!

MFT has so many great sentiments that go well with this kit. Going through
my stamps, I decided to make an Anniversary/Wedding card using a sentiment
from A Tweet Hello. All products from the kit are designated in bold print.

The birds were cut from Blue Yonder card stock and the wings from Cornflower
card stock. The beaks were cut from Pineapple card stock, the greenery from
Dill Pickle card stock, and the small heart from Poppy card stock.

The birds were lightly ink distressed to give them some dimension. They were
assembled and details were added with a Gelly Roll pen and white paint.
A Natural panel was adhered to a Blue Yonder card base. The birds and
greenery were adhered and the sentiment was stamped under them.

Visit the rest of the participating team members for more inspiration and
ideas using this fun kit and leave a comment to win a prize! Remember that once
this kit is sold out, it will NOT be restocked so grab your kit now! Happy Shopping!

MFT June Hits & HIghlights--Crazy for Cocktails

For this month's Hits & Highlights, the Creative Team was challenged to create
projects with a cocktail theme.

I was thinking pink, combining the Martini Shaker with a pink flamingo
on a shaker card. After ink distressing the bottom of a watercolor panel,
I spritzed water to create a "fizzy" look, then splashed on watered down pink ink.

The martini was constructed and filled with sequins, then adhered on to
the panel. The sentiment was white embossed and distressed lightly with
gray ink, then trimmed into segments and adhered to the card. I finished off
the card with the flamingo and pink sequins.

the Creative Team took on the Crazy for Cocktails challenge!

MFT Birds of a Feather Card Kit Day 2

Are you ready for more inspiration using the Birds of a Feather Card Kit?
I love the greenery dies in the kit and made a botanical card for today's project
to show you the versatility of the kit.

After die cutting the leaves from Sour Apple card stock, I ink distressed each one
with green distress ink. I adhered them to a white card base and gold embossed
the sentiment underneath. Sequins finished off the card.

MFT Birds of a Feather Card Kit Day 1

Are you ready to meet My Favorite Things newest Card Kit?
Birds of a Feather will land in the MFT Store on Tuesday, June 26th at 9PM EST.

Here's a peek at the kit. For a closer look and detailed description of the kit's contents,
visit today's Countdown post at the MFT blog.

Today I created a clean and simple card focusing on a single bird. All products from
the kit are in marked in bold.

The bigger bird's body and wing were cut from Poppy card stock and ink
distressed to give the bird some dimension. The beak and feet were cut from
Pineapple card stock and adhered to the bird's body. I perched him on a leafy
branch and stamped the sentiment beneath him.

His eye is a Black Nuvo drop that I made earlier and store in a container. I added
a white highlight to his eyeball with a drop of white paint and highlights on his
wing with a Gelly Roll pen.

Visit today's countdown post at My Favorite Things for more inspiration from
participating Team members and leave a comment there for a chance to win a prize.
Then get ready to purchase the kit on Tuesday, June 26th at 9PM EST.

CAS(E) this Sketch #277

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch #277 from teammie N@ Ali.

And here's how I interpreted this super simple sketch.

Using Zig markers, I colored swatches of ink in rainbow order on watercolor
card stock, then brushed over them with water. After it dried, I cut through it
with the banner die.

I die cut a white card base with the same banner die, then puzzle pieced the
colored pieces into their respective spaces. The stamped sentiment finished
 off the card.

the sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday,

CAS(E) this Sketch #276

Chrissy brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch! Here's Sketch #276.

And here's my take on it.

I stamped the Mondo Hydrangea (my favorite mondo bloom!) with Distress inks
and messy watercolored them with Zig markers and a waterbrush. Some extra
blooms were stamped near the main cluster and colored in the same way.

The panel was trimmed and adhered to a gray card base. The stamped sentiment
finished off the card.

and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, June 21st and as

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #389

It's time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Here's Sketch #389.

The Fun in the Sun cutie is possibly my favorite Pure Innocence image, ever.
She was stamped, colored with Copic markers and cut with the matching Die-namics.
And I didn't forget her eye protection, too.

The wavy background was stenciled with Sweet Tooth pigment ink on kraft
card stock and highlighted with a Gelly roll pen. I popped up the girl and added the
white embossed sentiment. Enamel dots finished off the card.

Join the weekly challenge and you could be the random winner of a $50
MFT gift voucher! Visit the Card Challenges blog for all the details and deadline
and we hope to see you in the gallery!
