MFT Say It in Starburst Card Kit Release

It's time! MFT's Say It in a Starburst Card Kit is now on sale in the MFT Store!

I have one more project to share with you to show you the versatility of the kit
by turning the Starburst into a vibrant sun.

I used the Circle Extraordinaire Stencil and inked the circle with Distress inks
onto a white card base, then stamped the Starburst over it in Delicata Gold ink.
Our Town was cut from white card stock and a strip of green striped patterned
paper was adhered over it.

I popped up the houses on the bottom of the card then added the gold embossed
sentiment. Small gold sequins were added to balance out the card.

MFT Say It in a Starburst Card Kit Day 2

Here's more inspiration for you using MFT's Say It in a Starburst Card Kit. This
versatile kit will go on sale tomorrow, August 20th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store!

Today I'm sharing a card using the Starburst Die-namics, Say It in a Starburst Stamp
Set, and this month's Card Kit "free with $60" Die-namics--Starburst Sentiment Strips.

The radiating rays on the Starburst Die-namics cuts through the card stock but
I wanted them to remain intact so I used a Circle Die-namics to cut out a single piece.
I ink distressed the circle in rainbow order, with heavy pressure, then flicked on
some water.

I chose a sentiment and white embossed it on black card stock and cut it with
the sentiment strip Die-namics. The piece was adhered to a Grout Gray card base,
topped with the sentiment strip and finished off with Sparkling Clear sequins.

Any sentiment in the set would work with the gender neutral design. And you
can't go wrong with rainbows, too.

to win a $25 MFT gift voucher. Be sure to stop by tomorrow for Release Day!

MFT August 2019 Card Kit--Say It in a Starburst

Are you ready to meet this month's MFT Card Kit?
At first look, Say It in a Starburst has very simple elements, but once you start
"playing" with the kit, you'll see that the design possibilities are ENDLESS!

Here's a look at the kit. Visit today's Card Kit post for a detailed description of
the kit's contents.

Here's my project with products that I used from the kit shown in bold type.

I placed the Circle Extraordinaire Stencil on white card stock, then inked it
with several colors of Distress inks in rainbow order. I dried it with a heat gun
before using embossing powder over the surface. I stamped the Starburst
pattern from Say It in a Starburst stamp set with Versamark ink, then
gold embossed it.

I gold embossed the sentiment which fit perfectly in the space. I adhered a few
stars which were cut from gold glitter card stock, then adhered the panel over
a Natural card base.

Say It in a Starburst Card Kit will go on sale Tuesday, August 20th at 4am.

MFT July Card Kit--Let's Toast (with a Twist) Release Day

It's time! MFT's Let's Toast (with a Twist) Card Kit can now be purchased in the
MFT Store! I have one last card to share with you--a shaker card that was inspired
by one of the sentiments in the kit.

The wine glass die was cut three times into a panel. Three glasses were die cut and
inked in pink, yellow and red inks. Acetate was adhered behind the glasses, then each
glass was popped into an open space.

Coordinated colors of sequins were placed in each space before the panel was adhered
in place over them. The white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

This amazing kit comes with an interactive element that makes the glasses "clink".
Teammate Laura, who designed the dies has a wonderful tutorial here if you're inclined
to give this a try. The dies can be used with other stamps, too and I'm hoping to try
them out on a future project.

So off you go to grab your Card Kit! And remember to comment on all team members'
blogs for a chance to be the random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher.

MFT July Card Kit--Let's Toast (with a Twist) Day 2

It's Day 2 of previews of MFT's July Card Kit--Let's Toast (with a Twist). This fun kit
will go on sale tomorrow, July 23rd at 10AM EST in the MFT Store.

I ink distressed more cocktail glasses in rainbow colors then adhered them to a
white card base. Here's a pic of the temporary layout of the glasses.

After permanently adhering down all the glasses, I trimmed off anything that was
hanging over the edge of the card.

The sentiment was white embossed on a strip of black card stock and the card was
finished off with a few sequins.

MFT Flowers in Bloom Card Kit Day 2

Are you ready for more inspiration with MFT's Flowers in Bloom Card Kit?
This fabulous kit will go on sale tomorrow, June 25th at 10AM EST
in the MFT Store.

I'll have to admit to not being a "flower person" but these flowers are so
easy to color in whatever coloring medium you choose and they make me
feel like I know what I'm doing. 😉

For today's card, I white embossed the blooms on watercolor card stock then
colored them in with Zig markers and a water brush. When the panel was
dry, I cut them out with the matching Die-namics.

I ink distressed a separate panel with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink
then spattered it with water. A frame was adhered over it and the panel was
adhered to a Grout Gray card base. I added the blooms and finished off
with the white embossed sentiment.

Be sure to visit today's Card Kit post and don't forget to leave a comment there

MFT Flowers in Bloom Card Kit Day 1

This month's Card Kit from My Favorite Things is full of floral and watercolor goodness!
Here's a peek at Flowers in Bloom, which goes on sale Tuesday, June 25th
at 10AM EST in the MFT Store.

For a detailed description of the Kit's contents, visit today's post at MFT.

For today's card, I white embossed the flowers, slightly off center on
watercolor card stock. I "dropped" color into each petal with a Zig marker,
then added water to help the color spread.

I trimmed the panel and adhered it to a Limelight card base. The "hello" was
also cut from Limelight card stock and inked on the bottom before being
adhered to the card.

A strip of diagonal striped pattern paper was adhered under the sentiment
and the card was finished off with sequins.

So before you run off, I have one more Card Kit project to share with you.

Before I removed the flowers from the Misti, I added another branch and stamped
the flowers in landscape format on a white card base. I grounded the flowers with a
strip of patterned paper and a white embossed sentiment. The card was finished off
with multi colored enamel dots for contrast.

There are so many possibilities for coloring the flowers, but the easiest is to
stamp them as silhouettes and having a Misti or any type of stamp positioner makes
mass producing quick and easy.

We hope you have fun with the Flower Silhouettes Card Kit and be sure to use
#mftstamps when you share your projects on social media.
Happy shopping!
