CAS(E) this Sketch #323

CAS(E) this Sketch #323 is a retro one from former teammie Leigh.

Here's my take from September 2015.

And here's my 2019 version.

Houses were cut from the cover plate and ink distressed, fading to the bottom,
adhered to a card base, then finished off with the stamped sentiment.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the
sketch and  join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, May 30th
and as the weekly winner you could be joining us on a future sketch.

Fusion Card Challenge--Christmas Eve Ride

I'm joining the last Fusion Card Challenge of the year mainly because I "discovered"
the Neat and Tangled Cover Plate in my box of NBUS (Darnell's fun acronym for
Never Before Used Schtuff).
http://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/2018/12/fusion-christmas-eve-ride.html
You can either use the sketch or the inspiration photo, and I decided to sort of
do a combination of the two.

After cutting out the entire cover plate of houses, I inked them in bright  colors
with Distress inks and decided to leave the trees white.

I arranged the houses per the sketch, and added the trees, too. The sentiment was
white embossed and I added some snow with a white pigment pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch 77--Take Two and Three

I'm popping in to share a couple more cards using CAS(E) this Sketch 77.

Yes, I went literal again. And used watercolored dots again.

On the first card, I added some Delicata Gold dots for a bit of shimmer.
The sentiment is a discontinued one from Technique Tuesday.

On the second card, I added some gold sequins.
The dymo label sentiment is from Neat and Tangled.

I think this sketch lends itself to cards for all occasions.
And I really must try it with other shapes.

You still have until May 29th to link up your card(s) for Sketch 77 here,
and as a winner, you may be asked to be a guest designer.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Little Tangles Challenge #37

I'm super excited to be guesting on the Little Tangles Challenge blog and
Challenge #37 is to use acetate on your card.

When I hear "acetate" the first thing that comes to mind is shaker cards
so that's what I made.

I die cut an Amy Tangerine photo frame and lined it with some acetate that was stamped
with the sentiment from Just For You with white Staz On ink. I filled the shaker with sequins
and added a second sentiment on a banner.

Visit the Little Tangles Challenge blog for the challenge guidelines and
inspiration from the design team. You have until Sunday, May 25th
to link up your card(s).

Thanks for stopping by, and thank you, Heather, for the GD invite!

Hello sunshine

Happy mail from Neat and Tangled and Papertrey Ink
prompted me to enter this card into Moxie Fab World's Ombre Challenge.

I inked up Watercolor Wonder in several colors of Hero Arts mid tone inks
in ombre fashion--a technique we learned in Clean & Simple Card Making 2.

The sentiment is from Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday.
And I'm pretty proud of myself for not hoarding the sequins
and actually using them on this card.

Thanks for stoppin' by!
