Sketch #755 over at Freshly Made Sketches is by yours truly.
It seems that I had Christmas on my mind and even though you may see a tree,
the shape can be anything you wish.
I went with a tree.
it was first released. Well, I'm glad that I waited because I was able to grab both
at 50% off. I was hoping the order would arrive in time for the challenge,
and although I had a "plan B", I was thankful that it did.
I stenciled the tree and die cut the image. A green strip was adhered per the sketch
and I popped up the tree on a card base embossed with tiny dots. I chose the word
"joy" for my sentiment and cut it out of shiny silver card stock. Small clear sequins
finished off my card.
And for those inquiring minds, here's a glimpse at Plan B that I was going
to share if my PFS order didn't arrive in time. Still a tree.
So, to tree or not to tree? The choice is yours!
Visit Freshly Made Sketches to see how my teammates interpreted the sketch and
join us if you can. You have until Mon, Sept 28th at 3PM EST to link up your card.
Hope to see you in our gallery!
I went for TREES and a little buddy you sent me ages ago, Donna! Thanks for the darling inspiration and TWO fantastic cards - I might have a go at your second card!

These are both stunning and very creative!
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic trees, Donna! I'm glad that PFS order got there in time that we could get a double helping! The stenciled tree is so pretty and I'm loving these colors! I love the embossed tree just as much with the pop of red joy! A great sketch for us, my friend!
ReplyDeleteDonna, I don't even know how you chose! I love them both!
ReplyDeleteTwo beauties, Donna! Jo x
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards and a great sketch xx
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards Donna - and the first one is all the better for having been as a result of a bargain! I love the pop of red against the tree on the second one too. Gorgeous! That triangle shape had me properly inspired this week - thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love both versions! This is such a fabulous sketch and I cannot wait to use it once my craft room supplies are recovered...some day, hopefully soon!! Thanks for the inspiration and for such a great one this week.
ReplyDeleteI love both your cards! They have such a graphic feel, and the colors just pop. Although I didn't go with the tree this time, I'll definitely use your sketch for Christmas cards later.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning tree! I love the soft and fresh color you've used! The backup is fabulous too - I love how the bold images of the embossing folder work perfectly in the tree.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are simply beautiful! Love the colours of the first one and love the embossing of the second one! Both are perfect for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards using a fabulous sketch! Love both your interpretations, Donna! Thanks for a wonderful sketch this week.
