25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 -- Bonus Day!

 

I'm honored to be joining Day 26--a Bonus Day--of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Here's my tag using Warmest Wishes by Birdie Brown. This stamp set was brought 

out from MFT's Vault in October but I'm using the set that I already owned, the 

difference being the sentiment font and open die.

 

 

 

 

I started off by ink blending a Stitched Tag, spattering it with water and some

white paint after it was dried. I stamped the sentiment and added the snowflake

that I happened to have on hand and little girl. More snow was added to the

tag and the little girl with a white pigment pen.

Since it's a bonus day, I've got a bonus tag, using a retired and much loved 

Birdie Brown set called Ready, Set, Snow. 

 

 

 

I die cut a Stitched Tag and masked off a slope, ink blended the top portion, 

then spattered it with water. The snowboarding bear was stamped, colored with

Copics, and cut with the matching dies. The snow splashes were added to the tag 

and I stamped a few trees behind the bear in white pigment ink. The sentiment 

finished off the tag.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 -- Day 2

 This is Tracey's 10th year of organizing her popular 25 Days of Christmas Tags

and I always try to make time to participate because I love making tags. 

 

The sponsor for Day 2 is Simon Says Stamp and I had some Lil' Gnomes

that were leftover from last year's release so I put them to use. I was inspired

by Simon's Wednesday Challenge blog DT member Lin who happened to use

the Lil' Gnome on her adorable tag. And I have not one, but three tags to share.

All three tags were basically constructed the same way. A bit of greenery and 

sentiments from Simon Says Stamp and Papertrey Ink.

 

Love these gnomes and I'm glad that I had a chance to use them again!

Joyful Snowman Tag

One more tag for Day 19 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags with a little

Paper Smooches love.

I loved the little PS snowman as a stamp and when he came out as a (bigger) die,

he just had to come home with me.

Karin's sweet tag inspired mine and I substituted her little fox with the

snowman. I spattered a bit of snow on the tag and snowman, then added

the sentiment and DIY snowball. I just realized that this is an "all die" tag.

A Gnome Tag for 25 Days of Christmas Tags

I'm joining my dear friend Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags which is in its 

9th year! And her list of sponsors has grown tremendously, as well as the number

of tag entries. Way to go, Tracey!

When I saw that the sponsor for Day 10 was Simon Says Stamp, I pulled out their

Gnome Wafer Die and got to work. Here's my tag, using products from FIVE
different companies.

I LOVE this little gnome. My tag was totally inspired by Maura's tag. I was

inspired by her tag colors and I dug out my bag of rayon ribbons, too.

A Neat and Tangled tag die was texturized with Hero Arts' woodgrain die.
The gnome was cut from white card stock and ink distressed. Some sprigs of

greenery were tucked behind the gnome and topped with the white embossed

sentiment. The tag was finished off with a rayon seam binding bow.

The 25th Day of Christmas Tags 2018

I'm adding one more tag to Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags gallery with inspiration

from Eloise Blue. The last sponsor is Hello Bluebird and I found a set that I bought months

ago that wasn't inked yet (gasp!) so I remedied that with a quick and simple tag.

 I ink distresed a rounded tag in the same colors that Eloise did, spattered it with water

and added a snowy ground by tearing white card stock because I was too lazy to look for

a snow drift border die. 

 The bunny was popped up on the bottom and the sentiment was white embossed on the tag.

I finished off the tag by adding details to her scarf, falling snow with a white
pigment pen, then threaded gray and white twine through the tag hole.

I love making tags and by the amount of entries in the gallery--650+--I see that
a lot of people do, too. Thanks for stopping by and huge congrats, Tracey, on

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018

I'm glad that I found some time to play with Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018.

 I've just returned from a week's stay in Tokyo and I was thinking about making tags

while I was there. Here they are.

I was drawn to Gemma's tags on Day 12--the shape, her ink distressing, and how she 

simply added a cute critter on each of her tags.

These tags came together quickly because I had both images cut and colored in my 

stash of die cuts. Both tag shapes were cut from an old Sizzix set of rounded tags

and ink distressed.
 

For the penguin tag, I added some snowballs by die cutting white felt and adding

a bit of glittery Stickles on them, and on the snowy bank. The images were popped

up on their respective tags and stamped with a sentiment. Both tags were finished

off with a loop of gray and white twine, and "snow" from Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Be Merry

It's that time of year again--Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags! I couldn't
wait to link up my tag which was inspired by Debbie Yates' tag on Day 1
of this holiday series.

The tag was die cut from watercolor card stock and ink distressed, spattered
with water, and speckled with a white Gelly Roll pen.

The reindeer (and his antlers) were cut from Latté card stock and ink distressed
for a bit of dimension. The antlers were decorated with colorful gemstones and
the sentiment was white embossed on a red strip of card stock. A brown
checkered ribbon and twine finished off the tag.

There are so many wonderful tag ideas and Tracey has rounded up more awesome
sponsors this year. I'm hoping to squeeze in another tag or two before the 25th day.

25 Days of Christmas Tags

 I'm entering Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags just under the wire

 with a tag using some older stamps from My Favorite Things.

I was inspired by Michelle Short's tag here, and the colors she used on her

tag's background. But I think I went a little heavy handed with the ink blending. 

For the tag, I die cut the small card element from Blueprints 14 from 

watercolor card stock and ink distressed with several colors of dye inks.

I spattered a little water over the surface and added the snowy bank.

After the surface was dried, I white embossed the sentiment. The bear 

was colored with Copics and fussy cut, then adhered to the card with 

dimensional tape and finished off with some licorice twine.

I'm off to peruse the gallery--there's so much tag-alicious inspiration!

Holiday Tags

I've been in tag mode lately. You too? I've seen them popping up everywhere
and I think they're super versatile. Stick them on a card or tie them on a gift.

On my first tag I used all products from My Favorite Things.
 

I love that polar bear, all snuggly in his sweater with a hot beverage in hand.
And the sweater stitch background stamp? A perfect match!

The second tag uses the Paper Smooches snowman (again!)
with a sentiment from Technique Tuesday.

See the background? It's an old technique that looks like embossing paste.
I ink distressed the top portion of the tag and used an embossing folder
that looks like falling snow. Then I used a sanding block and gently went over
the dots and "took away" the color. Embossing paste look without the mess!
