The Card Concept 10--Coffee

I'm playing in The Card Concept's latest challenge with a COFFEE theme.

Here's my shaped card and I kept it clean and simple. Or maybe it's clean and layered.

I used the Sizzix Bigz Coffee Mug die and some Highline papers from Basic Grey.
I followed the tutorial here to construct the card. The sentiment is from
(the now closed--sniff!) Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

Here's a side view of the card. It's the perfect size to enclose a gift card.

I'm also linking this up to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge--Die Crazy--
to use dies on your project. I love this coffee mug die but I'm not a hot coffee drinker.
Iced coffee is my poison and I poison myself almost every day.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sip On

I love shaped cards and while I'm not a coffee drinker (green tea for me!)
a lot of my friends are. When I saw this Sizzix die and tutorial on the Sizzix blog,
I bought it right away and cranked out some coffee mug cards.

It's a rather tall card and a perfect size to enclose a gift card.
And I love the sentiment from Fresh Squeezed Stamps--
so trendy and fun!

I'm entering this very literal take to the Tuesday Trigger
Wake Up Call over at Moxie Fab World.
Probably a bit too literal, huh?

Thanks, always, for stopping by!
And thank you so much for your comments on this post
as well as over at Moxie Fab World.
I felt the Moxie Fab love!

Hero Arts' April challenge

The theme for this month's challenge at Hero Arts is Home & Mother's Day. Shari is this week's featured artist and she's sharing different card folds. She happened to share my favorite--easel cards--so I had to play along.

I wanted to use some new stamps that I got as my prize for the felt cupcake card and the new Tim Holtz bird cage die that my mail carrier recently delivered.

My hubby suggested that I tilt the bird cage to give it some interest. And I listened. Lots of embossing and ink distressing and I'm pretty pleased with the result. And no Copics were used!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great Wednesday!

Stamps: Hero Arts, Stampin Up
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned paper: Basic Grey Eva
Ink: Ranger Distress ink, Versamark
Other: Tim Holtz bird cage die, Martha Stewart 3-in-one butterfly punch,
clear embossing powder, pearls, pop dots
