It's two more days until My Favorite Things December Release!
Are your wish lists growing longer every day?
Today I'm sharing a card using the adorable Friendly Forest stamp set.
I love the whimsical critters and chose the owl for my project.
I used Distress Oxide inks on all of the owls and stamped them on watercolor
card stock. Distress Oxide inks can ink up your stamp in a "splotchy" manner
and I found a quick remedy for a smooth look--sponge daubers!
After inking up the image, use an ink dauber and pick up the same ink, then tap
the surface of the stamp to smooth out the splotches. It works really well, especially
on "juicy" inkpads and on other types of inkpads, too.
The panel was trimmed with a stitched rectangle die, then adhered to a Kraft
card base. The sentiment was stamped on a kraft strip and adhered to the card.
As a final touch, I dotted the owls' eyeballs with black Nuvo Drops.
