MFT Bundle of Balloons Card Kit Release Day

It's time! You may now purchase the Bundle of Balloons Card Kit in the MFT Store!
I'd like to share one more project with you using this versatile kit.

If you're a follower of my blog, you know that I LOVE ink distressing and the technique
would naturally make an appearance on a project. So here it is.

I began by clear embossing balloons on white card stock, then ink distressed with
yellow, orange, and pink Distress inks. I spattered water over the surface and trimmed
the panel down to 4 x 5.25". The card looked a little "flat" so I die cut more balloons
from white card stock and lightly ink distressed the edges, then popped them over
the embossed balloons.

I inked the very bottom of the panel with green ink for a bit of interest, and added
some stars around the balloons. The sentiment was gold embossed on a strip of
white card stock and ink distressed with yellow ink and popped up on the panel.
The panel was then adhered to a white card base.

Balloon overkill? I guess I did get carried away. But in my opinion, you can never
have too many balloons for a birthday celebration or any happy occasion!

Be sure to visit participating Creative Team members' blogs and comment by Thursday
July 26th for a chance to win a $50 MFT gift voucher! Thanks so much for
stopping by during the countdown and happy shopping!

  2. You read my mind, Donna! I wanted to see your ink-distress version of the balloons. :-) Your ink-distressing and spattering are as gorgeous as ever. Adding the green at the bottom does add interest, and popping up the lightly ink-distressed balloons make the card look more fun! Hideko xx
