It's Day 4 of MFT's April Release Countdown!
This month, Birdie Brown brings us Up in the Air--an adorable set with a
hot air balloon theme. I paired it with Spring Scene Builder Die-namics that
helps create a super quick scene on your card!
helps create a super quick scene on your card!
There are several critters to choose from to ride in the gondola--I chose a bear.
The balloon and bear were colored with Copics and cut with the matching dies.
Clouds were cut from watercolor card stock and inked on the bottom.
The tops of the trees were cut with Sour Apple card stock and ink distressed
to give them some dimension. The tree trunks and fence were cut and colored
with Copics. I also cut the Stitched Valley Die-namics from Sour Apple card stock
and ink distressed them for dimension.
All the pieces were adhered to a white card base, and I finished off the card
by stamping a sentiment on the largest cloud.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great card. I love how you blended the colors towards the middle of the balloon, it makes it look curved and not flat. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid of heights, however, you card has me longing to join the little bear in his hot air balloon ride! Sweetness...and enticing!

ReplyDeleteI think it's perfectly fine to place it on either side, upside down if you have to, as long as you note the perspective. :)
