And here's how I interpreted the sketch.
Solid and open leaves were ink distressed and spattered with gold ink, then
adhered to a white card stock panel. The panel was trimmed to leave an opening
following the sketch. A piece of gold card stock was placed between the two
panels and the sentiment was gold embossed. Both panels were then popped up
on the card, letting the gold card stock show through.

I LOVE the card. The gold paper and bright leaves are perfect.
ReplyDeleteLike the simplicity of this design. That touch of gold is just the thing to highlight the leaf colors. Great sentiment...added that set to my Santa wish list. tfs
ReplyDeleteYou ARE a master of this challenge, Donna! I was wondering what kind of card you would make with this sketch (just one thin strip!). Making an opening to let the gold show though instead of pasting a gold strip over the white panel adds so much interest. And I LOVE gorgeous ink-distressed leaves!! The sentiment, the strip, and the spatters are all cohesive in gold. Fantastic job!
