play every day


Do you play every day? I try to. Whether it's coloring an image or getting inky with a new stamp pad or fussy cutting some images, I try to do something crafty every day. Keeps my brain alive.

A few days ago I ink distressed a scrap piece of cardstock with some Distress inks that were on my craft desk, splotched some water over it and let it dry.

As I was going through the Flickr group, I saw Lin's fabulous card and when I went to her blog, I discovered that the colors I was playing with were similar to those for Play Date Cafe's colors of Pink Carnation, Orange Sherbet and Lemonade.

I've never joined a PDCC before but couldn't pass up a chance to do so. I stamped my mantra with the Noah Alphabet in Versamark ink and white embossed it. I drew in some faux stitching with a poster paint pen and adhered it to a kraft card base. Done.


The letters are a little squished because it was an afterthought to use the inked piece. But I like it and I'll be entering my first ever PDCC.

    Donna I so LOVE this!!! I tried the masking technique the other day and it was a disaster. LOL! Your card is so vibrant and bold!!! You've inspired me to try the technique again.

    WOW! Your card hits this challenge right on the nose, Donna! The colors are in the perfect order and the big white letters mimic those shown in the challenge photo, too! Great job - it IS good to play every day!!
