MFT August Release Countdown--Day 1

It's just one more sleep until My Favorite Things August Release!

Today I'm sharing a Halloween/Valentine card with Frightful Friends, and
a fun embellishment that I made with a new product in the store.

Frankie and his bride were colored with Copics and die cut with the matching
dies. A piece of watercolor card stock was ink distressed and spattered with
water, then cut with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.

The sentiment was silver embossed on a Steel Gray banner and everything
was popped up on the panel with dimensional foam tape. The final touch
were the black hearts that I made with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Here's a quick pictorial on how I made the hearts. It helps to have a non stick
craft sheet or a piece of acetate and a toothpick or some type of pointed stylus.

  1. Squeeze out two drops side by side on the sheet.
  2. Using the toothpick, pull down each drop until they meet to a point.
  3. Shape into a heart and let dry.
Fun, right? And although you can't see it well from the photo, I added a small
drop of Nuvo to their eyes to make them shine. Nuvo Crystal Drops? Fun stuff!

Remember to stop by today's countdown post at My Favorite Things for more
peeks at the August release, and leave a comment there for a chance to win
$75 in prizes! Hope to see you tomorrow for Release Day!
