Concord & 9th Birthday Bash Blog Hop

August 9th marked Concord & 9th's First Birthday, and they're celebrating
with a month long blog hop! There are prizes, discounts, and giveaways, and
there's a giveaway here on my blog with more details at the end of this post.

I love their unique stamps and dies, and their Take a Bough dies are the first
Concord & 9th product that I purchased. Check out this adorable tree.

Today I'm sharing a card using Brushed Blossom, a fun stamp set that made me
feel like a watercoloring pro! I inked the bloom with assorted colors of Distress inks,
then spritzed them with water before stamping on watercolor card stock.

I did the same with the leaves, using two colors of Distress inks, creating
an abstract watercolored look. There's even a spatter stamp for timid folks
like me who like a more controlled spatter than from a brush. I finished off
the card with the sentiment and a strip of striped patterned paper.

  19. Very, very pretty card. Can't believe it's all stamping and that you didn't actually water color those flowers. What a great job. Going to have to try this at home!!

  20. The tree looks great. I like to make things
    that are 3-D and decorative.
The card is so pretty. I made my first
attempt at watercoloring last week and feel in
love with the technique. The shading on
the flowers is wonderful - and to think that
you did that with ink and water on a stamp.
    thanks for sharing.
