Happy First Birthday, Sister Stamps!

Hello, and welcome to Day One of Sister Stamps' First Birthday Blog hop! I hope you arrived here from Nadine's blog. If not, start at Sister Stamps and continue the hop to see the latest release of three adorable new images with a birthday theme.

Here's my project using Mariko. She was colored with Copics and trimmed out. I used Penny Black's Allover Pattern cling stamp and clear embossed it on white cardstock, then ink distressed it with Victorian Velvet. Just a portion of the stamp was trimmed to fit the top of an origami Masu box. (Thanks to my blogging friend Elizabeth for sharing this!)

You can find online tutorials on how to fold both the box and the divider, which happens to hold four Ferrero Rocher candies perfectly. (Edited to note: I used a set of written instructions and the YouTube video is the closest to what I did.)

Now hop on over to Kris' blog to see what she created with the new release. Make sure that you visit all the blogs because there are giveaways of the new stamps, along with lots of ideas and inspiration.

Day 2 starts tomorrow at Sister Stamps. Hope to see you then!
