MFT & Friends--September 2018 Release

It's time for this month's MFT & Friends when the Creative Team--and guests!--
share fresh ideas and more inspiration with the current release.

My project uses the new Circle Trio Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics (say that
five times, quickly!) for a faux shaker card.

I adhered a sheet of the new Black and White Dots Patterned Paper on white card stock
then trimmed it smaller with a rectangle die. The three circles were cut through the
panel and I marked off the circles underneath so I knew where to ink distress the
background of each circle.

Three ghosts from Birdie Brown's Fab-BOO-lous Friends were stamped, colored with
Copics and cut with the matching Die-namics and adhered behind each circle.

The ghosts were adhered on the background, peeking through their respective openings.
I added black frames over each circle and adhered clear sequins beside each ghost. The
sentiment was silver embossed on a sentiment strip and popped up on the card.

Head over to today's MFT & Friends post for more inspiration and ideas using
MFT's September Release, and be amazed! Thanks for stopping by today!

CAS(E) this Sketch #288

It's time for a new CAS(E) this Sketch
Here's Sketch #288, compliments of yours truly.

And here's how I interpreted the sketch.

I cut a piece of polka dot patterned paper, rounded off the corners and adhered
it to a white card base. An ink distressed butterfly was adhered to the card and
finished off with the white embossed sentiment.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, September 13th and
as the winner, you'll be invited to join us on a future sketch!

MFT September Just Add Color

For this month's Just Add Color, I decided to tackle Birdie Brown's Fall Friends
stamp set during a recent hurricane watch for Hawaii.

I usually color the monthly Pure Innocence images but decided to forego tradition
and color the entire Fall Friends stamp set. Coloring them was relaxing and helped
keep my mind off of the imminent storm.

In case you missed it, here are the two cards I made with most of the images.

Visit today's Just Add Color post to see what coloring medium participating team
members used to color the September Release, and be inspired with their results!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #401

Here's this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge #401.

And here's my take on it.

I was inspired by Heather Telford's card and how she used a round stencil
in a rectangular design. And I used her color scheme, too. The Moroccan Mosaic
Stencil was adhered to watercolor card stock and ink distressed with several
Distress inks. I trimmed the piece and adhered it to a Grout Gray card base.
The white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

Visit the Card Challenges blog for all the details on how you can win a
$50 MFT gift voucher as the random winner of the challenge!

MFT September New Product Launch and Release

It's time! You may now purchase My Favorite Things September Release in the
MFT Store! All spankin' new goodies are waiting for you here.

Before you go I want to share one more project with you and hopefully add to
your shopping list.

Every month Birdie Brown brings on the cuteness and this month's Fall Friends is
no exception. I made a round easel card using a tutorial from Beate Johns. Here's the
card when it's in the closed position.

And here it is opened up and propped like an easel with some leaves as the "stopper."

I used the scallop circle Die-namics and stamped the leaf images with Versamark
ink and assembled the easel per the instructions. The little girl and swag were
stamped and colored with Copics, then cut with the matching Die-namics.
I adhered all the pieces with foam tape and finished off with the stamped sentiment.

So there you have it--MFT's September Release! Don't forget to comment on all
participating Team Members' blogs by the end of the day on Thursday, Sept 6th
for a chance to win one of two $100 MFT gift vouchers! The more you comment, the
better your chance of winning!

Thanks so much for stopping by during the countdown and happy shopping!

MFT September Release Countdown Day 1

It's the final countdown day before My Favorite Things September Release!
All new products will go on sale tomorrow, September 4th at 10AM EST!

The new Happy Birthday Script has made it to the top of my favorite birthday
sentiment Die-namics. The font, the size--I love it all. It makes for a quick card for
both genders and takes center stage on a card.

I created an alcohol ink background with three colors of ink and flicked on alcohol
with a brush. The Happy Birthday sentiment was cut through the piece and backed
with tape. The sentiment was also cut from shiny gold card stock, then puzzle pieced
into the respective spaces. I trimmed the piece and adhered it to a kraft card base.

Not a fan of alcohol inks? Here's an ink distressed background.

A watercolor panel was ink distressed and spattered with water then trimmed with
the wonky stitched rectangle. Happy Birthday was cut through and backed with
adhesive tape. Happy Birthday was then cut from black card stock and placed in
the respective space on the panel.

The panel was then adhered to a Grout Gray card base and the sentiment was stamped
beneath it. Glittery stars were cut from the new Sunset Glitter card stock in matching
ink colors and adhered to the card.

Be sure to stop by today's final countdown post at My Favorite Things for more
peeks at the new release and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 prize.
Hope to see you tomorrow for the New Product Launch!

MFT September Release Countdown Day 2

It's two more days until My Favorite Things September Release!
All new products go on sale Tuesday, September 4th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store.

Today I'm sharing a card featuring the new Wildflowers set. I chose one bloom and
paired it with a sentiment from Sending Prayers.

The bloom and leaves were white embossed and inked with Distress inks using
ink daubers and cut with the matching Die-namics. A Grout Gray card base was
stamped with the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Background in Grout Gray ink.

The flowers and leaves were assembled in to a bouquet, then adhered to the
card base. A white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

Visit today's Countdown post at My Favorite Things for more peeks at the
September Release and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 prize!

It's a STAMPtember® Block Party!

I'm joining Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember® celebration--a month long PARTY
showcasing their newest products. Simon graciously sent me the Picture Book Donut,
another fun addition to their Storybook line.

Here's my card. What better way to celebrate STAMPtember® than with donuts?

Donuts were cut from card stock and inked to resemble plain and chocolate flavors.
Icing was cut from white, pink, and tan card stock and dark gray card stock was cut and
popped into the spaces for the eyes.

Sprinkles were added to the white and pink icing topped donuts with Copics then glazed
for a bit of texture. The donuts were piled on a Desert Storm card base. White highlights
were added to the caramel topped donut and the sentiment was white embossed on
the card. Rounded corners finished off the card.

MFT September Release Countdown Day 3

Are your wish lists getting longer with each passing day?
Today I'm sharing this month's Pure Innocence--Sending Blessings.

The little girl and leaves were stamped and colored with Copics, then cut with
the matching Die-namics. I ink distressed a square in warm colors and adhered it
to a white panel to resemble a Polaroid.

I stamped the trees and colored them, then adhered the little girl and leaves. I stamped
the sentiment, then adhered the Polaroid to a Grout Gray card base.

Visit today's Countdown post at My Favorite Things for more inspiration and peeks at the
September Release. Don't forget to leave a comment there for a chance to win a prize.
