Here's my second card using stamps from Spellbinders Whimsical and Wild
collection by Jane Davenport, called Elephant Dream.
If you're not familiar with Jane Davenport's style, you'll see that she uses
a TON of color on her projects. I chose to honor her use of color but opted
to lay down color the quickest way that I know--ink distressing.

I added random colors of Distress inks over a watercolor panel then stamped
the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I covered the image and spattered
water over the panel.
I was going to take away color with a water brush, but wanted to keep it as
vibrant as possible, so I added some highlights with a white pigment pen.
Check out Jane Davenport's collection at Spellbinders. You'll be glad you did!
Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe Greatest Showman would so approve! I love the way you've added color, Donna - only you would think of this fabulous idea! AND make it work beautifully!
