For the last Just Add Color series, I'm sharing a closer look at how I colored
this month's Pure Innocence Holiday Cheer and my finished card using the image.
The Fa-La-La Die-namics was dry embossed on a white card stock panel.
A sheet of patterned paper was trimmed to A2 card size and adhered to a
white card base, then the embossed panel was centered over it.
The little shopper was stamped with Extreme Black ink, colored with Copics and
cut with the matching Die-namics. I added dots and stripes on the packages and
presents with a white Gelly roll pen, and her eyes were enhanced with a black pen.
I popped her up on the card and added the sentiment on a fishtail banner.
I love this soooo much. The striped edge is the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Beverly! Would you believe I colored her before the paper pad was released but she happened to match that striped pattern perfectly!
DeleteI love this card.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, now colorful striped edge! It looks so pretty with the white panel, Donna! The impression of Fa-La-La makes an interesting and snowy background without distraction. Love the pretty coloring and the white Gelly roll additions!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colouring! I love all the little details - like how you can see the shadow under her knees and the white gel pen accents on the bags and presents - just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDelightful card...like the way you embossed the background so that the colored images stand out so well. tfs
ReplyDeleteDonna, truth be told: I'm NOT a shopper! But I'd follow this darling's lead wherever she chose to!
ReplyDeleteSo very precious, fa la lovely - and beautifully colored!
