Here's my simplified take on it.

I'm finding any excuse to use Birdie Brown's Adorable Elephants.
After stamping and coloring the little ellie, I pretty much followed the
sketch and used contrasting patterned papers. I finished off the card
with some pink sequins.

MFT December New Product Launch

Today's the day! You can find all new products from My Favorite Things
December Release here in the MFT Store! I'd like to share a couple more cards
with you and possibly add to your "want" list. (Wink!)

I love word dies and the Die-namics Doubly Amazing are exactly that--amazing!
There's a set of sentiments to coordinate with the dies, but the word dies are
stand-alone, and not meant to cut out the stamped words in the stamp set.

I inked up the large "splat" from Distressed Patterns with Distress inks
and spritzed a bit of water before stamping it on watercolor card stock.
Six colors were created from four inks by overlapping the colors.

After the ink was dried, I added the stamped sentiment and the
die cut "amazing". A strip of diagonal striped paper was adhered on the bottom
and the panel was cut with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24.
The panel was then adhered to a black card base.

For my second card, I brushed different colors of Peerless watercolors on
watercolor card stock, then cut it out with the Diagonal Quilt Square Cover Up.
I cut another square piece of card stock with the quilt die, then popped the
colored pieces inside the frame and mounted it to a square card base.

I used the capital "Amazing" and white embossed the second part
of the sentiment and adhered both to the quilted pattern.

MFT December Release Countdown--Day 1

Today is the final day of My Favorite Things December Release Countdown!
All new products go on sale tomorrow at 10PM EST in the MFT Store.

Today I'm sharing a new background stamp--Watercolor Stripes. Watercoloring
is still a hot trend and I wanted to create a fun, colorful background.

I used three Distress inks--Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Peacock
Feathers--inked up the stamp, then spritzed the surface with water
and stamped it on watercolor card stock. After it was dried, I cut out a panel
with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24 and adhered it to a top folding
Black Licorice card base.

I stamped the elephant from Sweet Safari onto watercolor card stock with
Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored him with Copics. I stamped and cut out
an extra ear and popped it up with foam tape for a bit of dimension and added
some highlights with a white pigment pen. The sentiment was stamped with
black ink, and I added a few black hearts from my stash of die cuts.

MFT December Release Countdown--Day 2

It's just two days until My Favorite Things December Release Countdown!
Have you got your wish lists ready? Are they getting longer?

Today I'm sharing more cuteness with Sweet Safari, a whimsical set of safari
animals. I chose the lion--since I'm a Leo--and colored him with Copics
then die cut him with the matching dies, sold separately. 

 

For the background, I masked off a rectangle with Post It tape, and ink distressed
with two colors of dye inks, then spattered it with water. I die cut Leafy Greenery
from watercolor card stock, then painted it with Peerless watercolors.

I spattered some watered down green ink over the surface of the card before adhering
the greenery and popping up the lion. The card was finished off with the fun sentiment.
