I'm the sketch designer for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #744 and it
looks like this,
A card kit from Gina K Designs arrived with an assortment of Polaroid frames
that sparked the idea for my card sketch.
Alex Syberia's Floral Splendor Cover Die was cut and inked in summery colors.
After die cutting a Polaroid frame, I placed the floral piece behind it and backed it with
a colored card stock piece in a soft shade of blue. I stamped a sentiment on the frame
and adhered it to an embossed card base then tucked in a few flowers following the sketch.
Keep in mind that you don't have to use a Polaroid frame as presented but I'd love
to see what you place inside one if you choose to do so. It's your choice!
And if you would like to use a Polaroid frame on your card but don't own a die, here's a
quick tutorial from Mary Fish of stampin' pretty that will have you cranking out a bunch
of frames just by using nesting dies.

ReplyDeleteI loved your sketch, Donna, and your card is colorful and such a fun take on it! The florals and textures work so well together. Turns out I didn't have a polaroid frame or even the right size dies to make my own, but that helped me think outside the box. You always inspire me with your clean and crisp style!
