MFT December Release Countdown--Day 3

It's Day 3 of My Favorite Things December Release Countdown and today
I'm sharing a new Pure Innocence cutie--Steeped in Love.

She was colored with Copics and die cut with the matching dies, sold
separately. I can never resist adding a few details with a white pigment pen.

To create the background, I die cut a piece of white card stock with the
rectangle element from Blueprints 24. I masked off the left and bottom portion
of the panel, then sponged in some color, letting it fade to the top and right side.

I flicked some water over the panel, and after it was dried, I adhered
the sentiment banner and the little girl and finished off with a few
enamel dots. The panel was then adhered to a Cement Gray card base.

MFT December Release Countdown--Day 4

Welcome back to My Favorite Things December Release Countdown!
Today I'm sharing adorable little flowers, and an "amazing" stamp and die set.

Mini Modern Blooms is a stamp set you'll reach for to create bunches of
layered flowers. For my card, I die cut a piece of watercolor card stock with
the rectangle element from Blueprints 25, then randomly stamped flowers and
leaves with Distress inks, spraying them with a bit of water before stamping.

After the panel was dried, I embossed it with the Brick Wall Cover Up--my newest
craft addiction that I only recently started doing. I love the texture! I die cut the
"Amazing" from Black Licorice card stock, and white embossed the rest of the
sentiment on a strip that was trimmed into a banner. The panel was then
adhered to a Cement Gray card base.

Remember to stop by the MFT blog today and every day during the countdown
to see the what the rest of the amazing design team has in store and leave a
comment there for your chance to win a $75 prize!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and hope to see you tomorrow!

MFT December Countdown Release--Day 5

Welcome to My Favorite Things December Release Countdown!

Birdie Brown starts off Day 5 with Adorable Elephants--a set of pachyderms
that have matching dies, sold separately. I couldn't resist making two cards
with this oh-so-cute stamp set, and I know that I'll be making more.

I was trying to channel my MFT teammie, Kay, who creates fabulous
watercolored backgrounds. I brushed the surface of the watercolor
card stock with water, then added some splotches of Distress inks.

After the panel was dry, I spattered some white paint over the surface.
The little ellie was stamped and colored with Zig brush markers. I stamped
the butterfly and flowers and added the elephant with dimensional tape.
The card was finished off with a strip of patterned paper and the sentiment
that was white embossed and trimmed into a banner.

I used the same watercolor technique on the background for the second card,
and just changed up the colors.

Both card bases are the new Cement Gray card stock which is fast becoming
one of my favorite neutral card colors. Plus, it's the perfect "elephant shade", no?

CAS(E) this Sketch 151

Hello, and welcome back to CAS(E) this Sketch! Are you refreshed and ready
to play along after a two week break? Here's Sketch 151 courtesy of Chrissy.

And here's my take on it.

I inked up the mug with four colors of Distress inks, and spritzed them
each time with water before stamping them on watercolor card stock.
After it was dried, I stamped the sentiment on the green mug,
cut out the panel and adhered it to a kraft card base.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teammates interpreted the sketch
and join us if yu can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, December 10th
