Hello Friend

If you're a fan of Hero Arts, you'll want to check out A Blog Named Hero, the brainchild of two crafty stampers--Linda and Mary Dawn. It's a brand new blog devoted to stampers who love Hero Arts and it's filled with tons of inspiration and challenges, too.

Their inaugural challenge is to feature your favorite Hero Arts stamps on a card or project. Here is my card featuring the new Lattice Background and a sentiment from All Occasion Messages.

The sentiment set is my "favoritest" because it features so many perfect sentiments in an assortment of fonts and I find myself reaching for it every time.

I'm also entering this in Hero Arts' monthly challenge with a shaped card technique. Shari Carroll shared this butterfly template here several years ago and I thought I'd pull it out again for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to visit and follow A Blog Named Hero to meet other stampers that share the Hero Arts love. See you there!

Happy Easter

Hi all! Just hoppin' by to wish you all a Happy Easter. When I saw this free digi on Alice's sweet blog, I grabbed it right away from A Day for Daisies.

I wanted to color the little chicks in rainbow colors because years ago, I remember seeing them exactly like this at a local farm fair. Colored chicks!

It was such a novelty and they were one of the most popular features at the fair. My sister and I stayed by the incubator and watched the chicks hatch--fun!

I flipped one of the images so the chicks were facing each other, and colored them all with Copics. I typed the sentiment using a cool font by Jennifer McGuire that you can find here. I love a cool font.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing a bit of nostalgia with me. Happy Easter!

Welcome to Lily Pad Cards' First Birthday blog hop!

I hope you arrived here by way of Carol's blog. There are over 50 participating blogs with lots of inspiration and fabulous prizes, and you have a week to visit and leave your comments.

There are three prize packages with a total retail value of over $300! These prizes will be awarded by random draw. There are two ways to be eligible for the prize drawings:
  1.  "Like" us on Facebook.
  2.  If you do not have a Facebook account, simply leave a comment on the Lily Pad Cards blog hop. To better your chances even more, leave comments on participating blogs in the hop. For each comment you leave, you'll be entered again. One comment per blog, please.
Here's my birthday card for today's hop.

I used Hero Arts' new Lattice Background stamp and ink distressed it with Gathered Twigs distress ink. I used Spellbinders Large Circle and Scallop Circle dies and made a simple circle card. Some felt roses and leaves were added, and the sentiment is from an older Hero Arts stamp set.

Your next stop is Janet's wonderful blog. If you hit a bad link, you can always go back to Lily Pad Cards to view the master list of blogs. Please report any bad links to aris@inklinkz.com.

Thanks so much for hopping by! You have until 11:59pm EST on Sunday, April 8th to leave your comments and be eligible for the prizes. Happy Hopping!
