SSS Flickr May Challenge -- Enticing Trio

The Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge theme for May is Enticing Trio--create a project

using three of anything.  Here's my card.

I used SSS Friendly Birds Embossing Folder and Dies to cut out three birds, then ran them

through the coordinating embossing folder.  I inked them up using dye inks and Copics.

I adhered a WPlus9 cover die on a card base and adhered the birds on top. 

CZ Design sentiments and clear sequins finished off the card.

CAS(E) this Sketch #404

It's the second to the last sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch. Meet Sketch #404

from our teammie Michelle.

 

To be  honest, I was stumped. I tried to find a banner stamp or even a paper airplane. 

No luck. So I squinted at the sketch and came up with this. Squint with me.

 

I wanted an excuse to use the Papertrey Ink bird after I saw Wanda Cullen use him

on her project. The leafy branches were cut from green card stock and inked and

highlighted. The gold embossed sentiment and rounded off corner finished the card.

CASology Week #380 -- SNOWMAN

 This week's cue word at CASology is SNOWMAN and I couldn't wait to

finally ink up the layered WPlus9 snowman. He's so cute! There are two snowmen 

in the set and I chose the larger one and the layering tree.

This stamp set is pretty amazing and for someone who's not so proficient at

layering, it's very forgiving. And Jennifer McGuire shared tips for mass

producing in her video which made it even more stress free.

 

I added some sparkle to the tree, grounded the snowman with a Copic marker, 

and finished off the card with the sentiment. I resisted the urge to add some 

falling snow to keep it as CAS as possible.

Thyroid Awareness Blog Hop

January is Thyroid Awareness Month.

The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) has marked Thyroid 
Awareness Month for more than 20 years to raise public awareness of the need for
preventive screening and early detection of thyroid disease. Blogging friend Milka is
doing her part by hosting a blog hop from January 5th thru the 30th.

She's gathered 25 friends worldwide to emphasize the importance of the thyroid 
gland and the problems that occur when it's not working properly. The thyroid gland
is shaped like a butterfly so we were asked to incorporate a butterfly or butterflies on
our projects. Here is my card for the hop.

I white embossed the sentiment from WPlus9 and ink distressed in rainbow order, then
offset the panel on a white card base. I finished off the card with three blue butterflies.

The blog hop runs daily through January 30th. Here's a list of all the participants,
