MFT April New Product Launch and Release

It's time--you may now purchase My Favorite Things April Release!
All new products can be found here in the MFT Store.

Today I'm sharing one more project with you to possibly add to your shopping list
using Birdie Brown's Puddle Jumper and extras from Rain or Shine.

I wanted to emphasize a gloomy, dark, sky so I used a Stone Gray card base and
stenciled in some clouds with gray ink. Over that I stenciled in some raindrops
and added a snow drift ground.

The little puddle jumper was stamped and colored in monochromatic grays.
I wanted to add a bit of color so I colored his umbrella, the ducklings, and the
puddle with Copic markers so it wouldn't look too dreary.

So there you have it--My Favorite Things April Release! Today is the day that you
leave comments on all Creative Team members' blogs for a chance to win one of two
$100 MFT gift vouchers! You have until Thursday, April 5th to comment, and the
winners will be announced on Friday, April 6th.

Thanks for stopping by during the countdown and happy shopping!

  8. That cute puddle jumper reminds me of Gene Kelley in Singing in the Rain. I love how you drew attention to him by leaving him in grays but surrounding him in color.

  32. What an interesting choice to make the focal image like the background and then put the colors in the supporting characters. That's super pretty, and I would have thought that would make the little boy disappear, but he really doesn't. Thanks for sharing such a great idea with us!
