This month you'll be thinking Spring at My Favorite Things! The April release
features flowers and cute critters, together with stencils and dies and more.
Day 5 of the Release Countdown features Fly-By Friends Stamp Set and
matching Die-namics by Lisa Johnson Designs.
The flowers and butterflies were stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid ink
and colored with Copics, then die cut with the coordinating dies. Several colors
of dye inks were sponged on watercolor card stock, and spattered with water
and watered down coordinating inks.
The panel was embossed with the Dainty Scallop Cover-Up Die-namics,
and the flowers and butterflies were adhered to it. I folded up the butterflies'
wings for added dimension, and white embossed the sentiment on a strip of
black card stock.

ReplyDeleteIsn't it awesome being able to emboss with a die?!? I love that it looks quilted, even more so than an EF would have done. Thought maybe I just had to have the scalloped background stamp, but no... I clearly need the die too! So pretty!!!

ReplyDeleteDonna--Loved the cardcover on watercolor paper left intact. I loved the way you made the white petals pop on the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe White-embossed black sentiment tag makes it pop, too.
