CAS(E) this Sketch 40

(Note: Please scroll down or click here for Avery Elle's Blog Hop. Thank you!)

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 40 by Karolyn Loncon.

And here's my take on it.

I die cut the gorgeous Leaf Column--the outline and background--
and mounted it with dimensional adhesive on some teal card stock.
For a bit of interest, I curved the stem just a skosh.
The gold embossed sentiment is by Technique Tuesday.

I'm starting to like having sentiments read sideways, although
this card could also be presented in landscape format.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teamies interpreted the sketch
as well as our awesome guest designer, Tyra, and join us if you can.
Link up your cards by August 15th and as a winner, you could be guest designing, too!

  6. Ah, so lovely! I love how you did the sprig. The wording looks great too! Thanks for giving me more great design ideas.

  7. Beautiful card, Donna! I love the color combo and your embossed pretty!

  8. Why yes, I think you are awesome, Donna! Love the gold on your staple, kraft!!

  9. Beautiful CAS card! I like the sentiment sideways (I happened to have made one most recently!) I love how you layered the stems!! You've got that Donna's (aka Midas)Touch!

  10. Another perfectly balanced and really attractive card Donna!!!

  11. What a stunning color palette! I would never have had the guts to combine green and turquoise like that, but it works beautifully. I really like the simple composition as well.
