A reminder...

...that you have until Sunday, March 11th (I extended the deadline from March 10th) to leave a comment on this post for your chance to win a set of Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangle dies. I'm leaving this evening for a bit of R&R and when I return, I'll announce the winner of the dies along with some extra candy.

I'll leave you with another card that I made with the dies and Miyako from Sister Stamps. I die cut a frame and ran it through an embossing folder for some texture. Miyako was colored with Copics and the sentiment is an SRM sticker.

I will ship internationally, too, so spread the word. Good luck, and I'll see you all next week! Thanks for visiting today!

A Wonky giveaway

Did that grab your attention? If you've been a follower of my blog, you know that I LOVE Spellbinders' Reverse Wonky Rectangle dies. It was love at first sight--I just love the shape--and I've been using them lots. Maybe a bit too much?

I went through my Flickr photostream and here's proof of my affection:

I think the reason that I love the dies so much is because I'm not very good with sketches, and die cutting an image makes for a quick card with minimal effort. Works for me!

I'd like to give away a set of the Reverse Wonky Rectangle dies to a lucky commenter. Just leave me a comment here on this post and I'll choose a random winner. You have until Saturday, March 10th to leave a comment and I'll choose a winner after I return from a trip.

I'll ship internationally, too, and I'll even add in a few extra goodies.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful week!

Meet Daba!

Welcome to Day 3 of Sister Stamps latest release. Today I'm introducing Daba, a sweet bunny with the cutest pose--a little mischievous and big on cuteness! I couldn't resist making a mini card with little Daba.

He was quick to color, with a few swishes of pink from some Copics and I inked in some grass to ground him. I used the smaller sizes of Reverse Wonky Rectangles as the base for the mini card, and added some twine for color.

I also created some pillow boxes with a quick tutorial  from About.com that I found here. There are lots of templates available, but if you have a CD, 6x6" patterned paper, a scissors and some adhesive, you can whip up a bunch of these in no time at all.

I added an optional finger notch with a 3/4" circle punch, to make it easier for the recipient to open the box. (Think McDonald's apple pie container)

The Daba chocolate bunnies were white embossed on brown cardstock. I tied the boxes with some rayon seam binding and topped them off with mini felt roses.

I hope you'll give the pillow boxes a try. They're the perfect size for a small gift or to hold a gift card, and they're especially cute for Easter with a little Daba on top.

A big shout out to Jenny for having me as a guest designer. It was such an honor and so much fun working with Sister Stamps, and I know I'll be using the stamps for other occasions besides Easter.

Thanks for joining me in sharing the new release from Sister Stamps. Akemi, Masa, and Daba will all go on sale beginning tomorrow, March 1st. See the sidebar on the Sister Stamps blog for a list of places where you can buy them.

Don't forget to visit Debi's blog for more inspiration and I hope you get your hands on this newest release! It's bunnylicious!

Meet Masa!

Thanks for stopping by on Day 2 of Sister Stamps' Release #6. Today I'm sharing a quick Easter card that I made using Masa, an adorable little boy with a bunny friend.

After coloring the image with Copics, I used a circle Nestabilities die to cut it out, then mounted it on a Reverse Wonky Rectangle piece that was embossed with a Sizzix folder. To bring out the background, I sanded it with a sanding block, then tied a piece of rayon seam binding that I dyed with Wild Honey Distress ink.

Be sure to visit Sister Stamps and also Debi's blog to see more projects using this new release, and stop by tomorrow for Day 3. I think I've saved the best for last!

Sister Stamps Release #6

Hello, there! For the next three days, I'm going to share the newest release from Sister Stamps. I was very excited--and honored--when Jenny asked me to guest design, especially since they all feature BUNNIES! Yep, Jenny knows that I'm a bunny lover!

Today I'm introducing Akemi, a stamp that was designed after Jenny's adorable daughter. I colored the image with Copics and turned it into a Polaroid. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, and the sprinkling of cherry blossoms were given to me by Jenny.

Visit Sister Stamps and Debi's blog for more inspiration using the new release, and see the sidebar for a list of places that you'll be able to purchase them. Release #6 will go on sale March 1st, just in time for Easter.

Thank you for stopping by today. I'll be sharing more projects using Akemi, and I can't wait to show you more of the latest release!
