MFT March Release Replay

It's time for My Favorite Things March Release Replay when the Creative Team
shares fresh ideas and more inspiration with the latest release.

For my project, the Bubble Over With Joy bunnies put aside their bubble wands
for an Easter themed card.

I always thought that one of the Tree-mendous tree shapes resembled an egg and this
was the perfect time to pair them with the bunnies. Three "egg" shapes were ink distressed
and three bunnies were colored with Copics and cut with the matching Die-namics.

The Horizontal Snow Drifts Cover-Up was embossed and adhered to a white card base.
The eggs were adhered to the card and the bunnies were popped up over them. I
stamped the sentiment, added a frame, and finished off the card with clear sequins.

CAS(E) this Sketch #262

Teammie N@ Ali brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch
Here's Sketch #262.

And here's my take on it.

I used an alcohol ink background and cut a strip to go across the bottom of a
top folding card. I die cut the sentiment from another piece of the same
background and adhered them on the card, per the sketch. I couldn't go
without adding a few sequins, and the card was done.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of my teammates nterpreted
the sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, Mar 15th
and as the winner, you'll be invited to join us on a future sketch!

MFT March New Product Launch and Release

It's time to make My Favorite Things March Release yours! You can find all new
products here in the MFT Store!

I have one more project to share with you to possibly add to your shopping list
using the Triangle STAX Die-namics--and an alcohol ink background.

I started with a panel of Yupo paper that was inked with alcohol inks and air dried.
Two sizes of triangles were cut from the inked piece and two of the smallest sized
triangles were cut from gold card stock.

The triangles were adhered to a white card base. I wanted the sentiment to
stand out so I gold embossed it on a strip of white card stock and popped it up
between the triangles.

Depending on the colors you use, this could be a gender neutral, all occasion
card just by changing up the sentiment. And a good way to use your backgrounds!

And there you have it--My Favorite Things March Release! Don't forget to comment
on all Creative Team members' blogs by Thursday, March 8th for a chance to win
one of two $100 MFT gift vouchers!

Thanks so much for stopping by during the countdown and happy shopping!

MFT March Release Countdown--Day 1

It's the final countdown day of My Favorite Things March Release! All new
products will go on sale tomorrow, March 6th at 9PM EST in the MFT Store.

Today I'm sharing a card using the So Many YAYs Die-namics and Yay for You
stamp set, which were part of a recent card kit and will now be sold separately.

I've been playing with alcohol inks, but this time, I used Copic marker refills
and the Copic colorless blender on Yupo paper. The results were almost the
same as with alcohol inks and there are a lot more colors to choose from.

I dropped several colors of reinkers on a sheet of white Yupo paper and let
the colors move with the colorless blender. I let it dry overnight, then cut the
panel with a Mod Rectangle STAX die.

The YAY was cut from the panel and the negative space was backed with
adhesive tape. The YAY was also cut from silver glitter card stock and the
letters were popped into the respective spaces on the panel. The second part
of the sentiment was white embossed below the YAY and the card was finished
off with sequins.

MFT March Release Countdown--Day 2

It's two more days until My Favorite Things March Release! Are your wish lists
growing longer day by day?

This month we're releasing brand new pups and kitties for all the animal lovers
who can't get enough of cute critters. I have two projects to share with you.
My first card features Puppy Kisses. I'm in love with the poodle.

Using the Misti, I stamped three rows of pups with Extreme Black Hybrid ink
and colored them with Copic markers. A bit of shading was added with Prismacolor
pencils. The panel was cut and mounted to a Steel Gray card base. The sentiment was
white embossed and popped up on the card and finished off with colorful enamel dots.

Next up is Love You Furever--a set of playful kitties and fun sentiments.

I customized the Collage Cover Up by trimming off a row of squares which perfectly
housed six of the kitties in the set. The inner pieces were ink distressed and popped
back into the frame. Six kitties were colored and cut with the matching Die-namics and
popped up on the frame. The stamped sentiment and enamel dots finished off the card.

release and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 prize.

MFT March Release Countdown--Day 3

We're halfway through My Favorite Things March Release Countdown.
All new products go on sale Tuesday, March 6th at 9PM EST in the MFT Store.

Today I'm sharing this month's Pure Innocence--Somebunny Sweet--paired
with a new rectangle STAX.

The little girl and her bunny were stamped and colored with Copics markers
on white card stock. I grounded her with some drawn in grass, then cut the
image with the Elegant Rectangle STAX.

She looked a little lonely on the hill, so I added a bunny, chick, and butterfly
from Spring Friends. The panel was adhered to a white card base covered
with pink plaid paper. I finished off the card with the stamped sentiment.

MFT March Release Countdown--Day 4

It's Day 4 of My Favorite Things March Release Countdown and this month's
Birdie Brown cuteness is Bubble Over With Joy--a set of adorable, fun loving,
bubble blowing bunnies!

I stamped several bunnies, colored them with Copics, and cut them with the
matching Die-namics. Dots and stitching details were added with a white Gelly
roll pen. Three pieces were cut from Blueprints 29--a white base, Stone Gray
frame, and the inside of the frame from watercolor card stock.

The white panel was adhered to a Stone Gray card base and the gray frame was
adhered on top. I ink distressed the inner pieces of the frame and popped them
back in their respective spaces. I stamped the sentiment, popped up the bunnies
and added "bubbles" with some clear drops.

MFT March Release Countdown--Day 5

Welcome to My Favorite Things March Release Countdown! The month of March
swooped in so quickly--mainly because February is always a short month.
Have you met our newest Creative Team member? Say hello to Rachel Alvarado
who has mad coloring skills and I'm hoping to pick up some design tips from her 😉.

Now on to Day 5 of the Release Countdown. If you liked last month's Anything-but-Basic
Birthday Greetings, you'll love this month's Anything-but-Basic Friendship Sentiments
that I paired with the Friend Duo Die-namics.

I reached for an alcohol ink background that I thought would work for the sky. It was cut
with a rectangle die and adhered to a white card base. A small heart was cut into one of
the Our Town houses, and adhered to the card with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment
was white embossed above the row of houses.

The "friend" sentiment was cut from white card stock and spray adhesive was used
to adhere it above the embossed sentiment.

(Note: I've heard that Yupo paper should not be heat embossed because of its synthetic
properties but I've done so with no problem. Make sure your heat tool is preheated and
constantly move the heat tool over the embossing--that seems to work for me.)

Visit today's countdown post at My Favorite Things for more inspiration and peeks
at the new release. And don't forget to leave a comment there for a chance to win
a $75 prize!

CAS(E) this Sketch #261

This week's CAS(E) this Sketch #261 is a retro one, compliments of
former teammate Gayatri.

Here's my take on the sketch from September 2014.

And here's the 2018 version.

A large butterfly was cut from a scrap piece of alcohol ink background. A strip
of Factory Green card stock was adhered to the card base and the sentiment
was white embossed on top of it. I adhered the butterfly and finished off
the card with sequins.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the design team interpreted
the sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, March 8th
and you could be joining us as our guest designer on a future sketch!
