CAS(E) this Sketch #217

Are you ready for a fun CAS(E) this Sketch from Chrissy?
Here's Sketch #217.

I'll admit to being a little intimidated by the sketch, so I brought in some
flowers. And here's my take on it.

I stamped the Mondo Hydrangea near the bottom of a watercolor panel and
colored it quickly with Distress inks and a water brush. The sentiment was
die cut through the flowers, then popped up over a Cement Gray card base.
A sprinkling of sequins finished off the card.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the
sketch, and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, April 20th,
and we hope to see you in the gallery!

Aloha and Spring CLH Giveaway Winner

When I saw all the pineapple goodness at Paper Smooches, getting the new
stamps and dies was a no brainer. Pineapple 1, Pineapple 2, Pineapple Crush.
Even their names are cute!

Born and raised in Hawaii, I.LOVE.PINEAPPLES.
Didn't love it so much as a a teen. Working in a pineapple cannery was my
first summer job. Thankfully, I didn't suffer with "pine rash" but I couldn't eat it
for a while. Now, I'm a huge fan. I can demolish a whole pineapple in two days.

I adhered the Criss Cross diecut at an angle, added the pineapple and a few
flowers. I adhered the white embossed sentiment, pulled up some of the crown
for interest, and finished off with a few enamel dots.

Regarding the giveaway winner.....
Apologies for not posting this sooner, but I had several glitches with some of
the comments that were left for the Coffee Lovers Hop giveaway. Either I had
no way of contacting the winner, or they did not answer my question as to
what was their favorite beverage choice.

Then I thought, what the heck, I'll just go with Random.org and since I had
two sets, I chose two winners. And they are:

Celeste Goff and AJ Bodine

Congratulations, ladies! I have contacted you and await your response.
Thanks to everyone who hopped along and entered the giveaway!

MFT April Release Replay

It's time for My Favorite Things Release Replay when the Creative Team shares
fresh ideas and even more inspiration with the latest release.

Since I didn't get to play with them during the Release Countdown, I chose to use
the adorable Four-Legged Friends on my project.

Three pups were colored with Copics and cut with the matching dies. A stitched
dome was cut from woodgrain card stock and adhered to a dotty background.
Party hats were borrowed from some birthday bears, and the card was finished
off with the punny sentiment and enamel stars.

Visit today's Release Replay post at My Favorite Things for more inspiration,
and see how participating team members took on the Replay challenge.
 Thanks for stopping by!

CASology #243--Icing

It's been a while since I've joined a CASology challenge! The cue word
caught my eye and I couldn't resist.

Here's how I was inspired.....iced cookies!

Truthfully, I was organizing my supplies and this set was not in its right place.
I took that as a sign. Plus, there were some cookies that were already die cut.
I just added the icing on all of them, some highlights with a white pigment pen,
and adhered them to a card.

The sentiment? I'm sending this card to a dear friend who just went through
a major surgery and came through with flying colors. Her warrior attitude
and resilience is so inspiring and I wanted her to know how much I admire
her strength and courage.

Thanks for stopping by today!

CAS(E) this Sketch #216

If it's Thursday, then it's time for a new CAS(E) this Sketch!
Here's Sketch #216, compliments of N@ Ali.

And here's my super literal take on it.

Thanks to MFT's Striped Sentiment Strip Cover Up, this card came together
so quickly! The panel was cut from Stone Gray card stock and adhered to a
white card base. I stamped the sentiment and added the three hearts. Done!

Be sure to visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the design team
interpreted the sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday
April 13th and as the winner, you could be guesting with us on a future sketch!
