MFT June Release Countdown--Day 4

It's Day 4 of My Favorite Things June Release Countdown and Birdie Brown
presents Hog Heaven--a set of adorable piggies with coordinating dies who will
definitely melt your heart!

My card starts with sponging on a cloud background on Watercolor Wash patterned
paper, then cutting it out with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24.
Stitched Valley and Trees in the Forest were die cut from watercolor card stock
and ink distressed. I spattered a bit of water over the hills and assembled the trees.

The pig was stamped with Bubblegum Hybrid ink, colored with Copics,
and die cut with the matching Die-namics. The oval shadow under the pig is
this month's "Free with $60" Die-namics and I love how it grounds him on the hill.

Can you tell I had fun coloring these little porky pals? I believe the entire team
went "hog wild" for them, and you'll be seeing these on future cards.

MFT June Release Countdown--Day 5

It's time for My Favorite Things June Release Countdown! There's tons of
cuteness this month and we're starting off with Sweet Forest Friends--
a stamp set with adorable forest critters and sweet sentiments.

I love this set so much that I created two cards colored in different ways.
My first card was inspired by Suzy Plantamura's card that I saw on Instagram
and I tried to replicate her "messy" watercoloring technique. So.much.fun!

Mostly all of the images were white embossed on watercolor card stock
and the panel was cut with the rectangle element from Blueprints 25.
I used Distress inks and lots of water, letting it pool in certain places.

The sentiment was white embossed on kraft card stock and cut twice
with the banner element from Blueprints 27 because the banner was longer
than the sentiment. The panel was adhered to a Primitive White card base
and finished off with clear sequins.

My second card features a forest scene using the new Birch Trees Die-namics
and Stitched Valley Die-namics.

The sky is a panel of Watercolor Wash patterned paper that did all the work
for me to create the background. The hills were cut from Sour Apple card stock
and ink distressed on the edges for a bit of dimension.

I die cut the birch trees from watercolor card stock because of the texture
that gives the trees a realistic look. A few leaves were colored with Copics
and adhered to the branches. The deer, bunny, and butterfly were stamped,
colored, and die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the panel
with dimensional adhesive.

The flowers are "extras" from a set that will make its debut soon,
and I finished off the card with the sentiment.

Second card:

CAS(E) this Sketch 175

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 175 compliments of Hannelie.

And here's my take on it.

Tone on tone stamping was done with the Wire Background on Stone Gray
card stock. Five neckties were cut from assorted patterned papers and
assembled on the card. The sentiment was white embossed on a vellum
belly band and adhered over the neckties.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teammates interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, June 9th and
you could be guest designing with us on a future sketch!
