MFT February Birthday Project--Up, Up and Away

Few things say “birthday” like a beautiful bouquet of balloons. For this month’s
Birthday Project challenge, focus on a single bobbing balloon or cover your card
in copious amounts of colorful images or die cuts.
I decided to go with a single balloon with the help of Blueprints 26. I love that you
can make the balloon as small or as large as you like, depending on the placement
of the die. And of course, it had to be ink distressed.

After die cutting a good sized balloon, I ink distressed it with several shades of
blue inks and spritzed water. The balloon was adhered to a Stone Gray card base,
and I inserted the balloon string and adhered the bow. Using the Misti, I stamped
the sentiment twice over the string, then added the birthday chick and sequins.

Grab your balloon stamps, stencils, and dies and join the challenge for a chance
to win a $50 MFT gift voucher! Get all the details in today's post at the Card
Challenges blog. Hope to see you in the gallery!
