Virginia's View Challenge #8--Clean and Simple

Just popping in to share my card for Challenge #8 at Virginia's View--Clean and Simple.

For my card I used Altenew's origami elephant and tried Tasnim's
no line watercoloring technique. Please don't look too closely; it looks better from afar.
And if you squint your eyes.

After stamping the sentiment, I realized it's now a sympathy card. Oops!
I'll try the technique again and use a "happier" sentiment.
The card was finished off with Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins.

You have until October 18th to link up your clean and simple project
and the prize sponsor is Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!

  6. This is stunning. Even when I don't squint. And, I did take a closer look. Yep, still stunning. I need to check out that water color technique. And, must say that you used my very favorite sympathy card sentiment.

  11. The coloring is beautiful, Donna, and I think the elephant is perfect with the sentiment. Elephants remember, and are strong.

  12. Despite your humble assertions Donna, you ARE the QUEEN of CAS in my opinion. This is a stunner of a card.

  13. You are so brave - I love this look but have yet to give it a try. Your elephant looks very cool in blues and greens. And I actually think it makes for a great sympathy card, for a younger person (which is not good to think about but happens).
