MFT July Release Countdown--Day 2

It's two more days until My Favorite Things July Release!

Today I'm featuring the Big Thanks Die-namics which was the previous
"free with $60" die during the June 2017 release, paired with a Smitten Kitten.

A Smooth White panel was cut with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24
and the Big Thanks was cut in the center. I placed a strip of adhesive tape behind
the letter spaces, and filled them in with colored letters in rainbow order.

The kitty was stamped with Chocolate Brown Hybrid ink and colored with Copics,
 then cut with the matching Die-namics. I perched her on the top of the THANKS,
and stamped the remainder of the sentiment. The panel was adhered to a Latté
card base and finished off with clear sequins.

MFT July Release Countdown--Day 3

It's Day 3 of My Favorite Things July Release Countdown!

This month, there are TWO Pure Innocence images to choose from with
celebratory themes. The first stamp is appropriately called Happy 
Birthday to You and features a little cutie with a huge present.

I masked off a rectangle and ink distressed several colors of Distress inks, then
spattered with water. The little girl was colored with Copics and I added striped
and dotted details with a white Gelly roll pen.

The banners were cut from patterned papers and criss crossed across the card.
I popped up the girl with dimensional adhesive and grounded her with an oval
shadow. I stamped the fun sentiment and finished off the card with enamel dots.

The second image is called Happy Cake Day. The little girl was stamped, colored
with Copics, then cut with the matching Die-namics.

The watermelon piece was made from the rectangle element in Blueprints 22

that was ink distressed, and spattered with water. I removed some of the spots 

and replaced them with Steel Grey "seeds".
 

 
I adhered the piece to a Kraft card base, popped up the little girl, and white

embossed the sentiment. Rounding off the bottom corners finished off the card.

MFT July Release Countdown--Day 4

Welcome back to My Favorite Things July Release Countdown.
Day 4 brings cuteness from Birdie Brown in the form of Happy Hippos!

These hippos are adorable! I was particularly smitten with this little guy

and stamped him on watercolor card stock, then colored him with Copics.

I filled in the spaces with cupcakes and dressed some hippos with bowties.
 

The card was finished up with enamel dots and highlights with a Gelly roll pen.

MFT July Release Countdown--Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of My Favorite Things July Release Countdown!

It's a celebratory month with new stamps, Die-namics, papers, and more!
We also have a new member on the Creative Team--Kristina Pavlovic.

Today I'm featuring the new Celebrate Speech Bubble Die-namics 
that helped to make a quick, colorful shaker card.

The speech bubble was cut from watercolor card stock and ink distressed
with Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Squeezed Lemonade, and Twisted
Citron Distress inks, then spattered with water.

A piece of acetate was adhered to the back, and foam tape was added behind
each section of letters to form three compartments. I added the sequins
then adhered the piece to a Natural card base. Lastly, I adhered the inside
 part of the letters A, B, and R on the acetate.

CAS(E) this Sketch #229

Teammie Hannelie brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #229.

Here's my take on it.

The rectangle element from Blueprints 22 was ink distressed and adhered

to a white card base. A butterfly was cut from black card stock and vellum

and adhered to the card. I stamped the sentiment and finished off the card

with enamel dots.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #340

Here's this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge #340.

And here's my take on it.

A stitched arch was ink distressed in "tropical sunset" colors and spattered

with water, then adhered to a Primitive Cream card base. The mai tai lovin' 

penguin was colored with Copics and cut with the matching Die-namics.

I adhered a few small ferns on the inked piece and popped up the penguin.

The sentiment was white embossed on a brown banner, and a strip of 

striped patterned paper finished off the sketch.

Flora & Fauna and Ellen Hutson GC Winner!

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card that I made with some fun stamps by

Flora & Fauna. I first saw their stamps at Impress and fell in love with 

their whimsical designs.

Cindi sent me this set to play with--You, Me and Tea.

And here's my card.

I white embossed several images on watercolor card stock then ink distressed

with several colors and spattered the panel with water.

I added a strip of patterned paper on the side, then finished off with the 

Savvy Stamps Hello speech bubble.

And here's my take on it. Yes, butterfly-itis has returned!
 

Assorted sizes of butterflies were die cut from watercolor card stock and

ink distressed with Distress Oxide inks, then spattered with water. They 

were adhered to a Natural card base and I white embossed the sentiment. 

The card was finished off with one rounded corner and enamel dots.

Inspired by All the Little Things #62

I'm squeezing in a card for Inspired by All the Little Things #62

because those umbrellas were calling me. That, and the team will be

taking a summer break until September, so I wanted to play along.

Here's the inspiration photo.

And here's my card.

Five umbrellas were cut from watercolor card stock and ink distressed
and spattered with water. They were overlapped and adhered to a
cream card base and finished off with the white embossed sentiment.

MFT June Creative Construction with Blueprints--Make it Masculine

Fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers--the men in your life appreciate your 

handcrafted creations too! This month, we’re celebrating them with masculine 

cards featuring Blueprints elements.

For my masculine card, I used several elements from Blueprints 25.

A stitched panel was cut from Natural card stock and adhered to a card base.
A bicycle was cut from Blu Raspberry card stock and ink distressed for
dimension. The curved piece was cut from Sour Apple card stock and ink
distressed, then adhered to the panel.

The bicycle was adhered to the card and the sentiment was white embossed
on the banner, then adhered to the card with dimensional adhesive.
The card was finished off with enamel dots.
