Welcome to the Hero Hostess 2013 Catalog Blog Hop!

As you know, Hero Arts will be awarding prizes from randomly drawn comments.
For a chance to win, simply comment on ANY of the stops along the hop
on ANY day, including each day's starting post at the Hero Arts Club Blog.
But the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win!

I hope you arrived here from Kathy's blog, or start here at the beginning
so you won't miss out on all the inspiration and giveaways!

Here's my card using three stamps from the new 2013 Hero Arts catalog.
Can you spot them?

I LOVE ink distressing and that's the first thing I thought of doing
when I saw the True Friendship stamp.
I heat embossed the image and ink distressed with Wild Honey
and Picked Raspberry distress inks.

The image was trimmed and mounted to a card base stamped with the new
Pinstripes. Two pieces of "faux" washi tape from Tape Your Message are
taping down the panel to the background. I love that you can create
your own washi tape in custom colors to match your card.

My second card is a quick one using the chalkboard technique.
After white embossing the True Friendship image, I reinked the stamp
in white ink and offset the image a bit. Lastly, I added a pop of color
with a puffy pink heart sticker.

I hope you're enjoying Day One of the hop! I'm the last stop for today.
The hop continues tomorrow with more hostesses and more inspiration
using Hero Arts' new 2013 stamps.

Left to right: Flower Pattern, Line Dots, Magical Background

To thank you for hopping along, I'm offering a prize of three Hero Arts background stamps
to one lucky commenter on my blog. I'll even mail internationally,
and throw in a few extra goodies, too!
The deadline to comment is this Friday, January 18th and
I'll announce the winner here on my blog on Saturday the 19th.
(Note: The giveaway is closed; winner has been chosen)

Thank you so much for hopping with us today
and we hope to see you tomorrow!
