MFT Color Challenge #39

It's time for a new Color Challenge at My Favorite Things.
Here's the color palette for Challenge #39.

When I saw that Cement Gray was one of the colors, I immediately thought of elephants,
and there's nothing cuter than Birdie Brown's Adorable Elephants.

I prepared a panel by embossing the Jumbo Dot Cover Up on Smooth White
card stock. Two ellies were stamped with MFT's Steel Grey Hybrid Ink and
colored with Copic markers, then die cut with the matching dies.

I also colored three balloons with Copics and die cut them with the matching dies.
The sentiment was white embossed on a strip of Cement Gray card stock,
and all the pieces were adhered to the panel. The panel was then adhered
to a Smooth White card base.

Chart found here, in the MFT Printable Resources Color Chart folder.

It shows you Copic colors that match pretty darn close to MFT's ink and
card stock colors so that if you have Copics but not all of the inks or card stock
colors, you can still join the Color Challenges. Pretty neat, huh?

Summer Card Camp--Week 1

Summer Card Camp 2011 has begun! Check out this week's fun, summery colors.

Here's my card using Lawn Fawn's Sew Lovely stamp set and My Mind's Eye papers. I took the route that Kristina shared on gathering papers with the challenge colors first. I was so happy to find perfect color matches in the Fly a Kite and Happy Go Lucky paper pads. 

The dress form was stamped on some Basic Grey papers. I also used Martha Stewart's hydrangea border punch and placed an orange gemstone on the dress form. The sentiment was embossed with white detail powder.
