CAS(E) this Sketch #297

Brian brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #297.

Oh, the possibilities with this sketch! Here's what I came up with.

I believe Amy Tsuruta enabled me to get this llama, and I thought he'd be
perfect for the sketch. I colored him with Copics and cut him with the matching
dies. He was popped up on the card and the sentiment stamped beneath him.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch and see how the rest of my teammies interpreted the
sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, November 15th
and as the weekly winner you'll be invited to join us on a future sketch!

Free Snowman

Today I'm sharing a project at Newton's Nook--something other than a card.
I had to kick it up a notch because their design team is so awesome, a card just wouldn't do.

So here it is--an ornament!

I first cut a 2.5" styrofoam ball in half and adhered some "fake" snow on the cut surface.
I cut and colored the sign from Winter Tails and attached a toothpick to insert  it
in the snowbank. I punched out the "eyes" from black card stock, added the carrot nose,
and placed a few dead twigs for the snowman's arms.

I placed the snowy piece into a 2.75" acrylic ball and snapped it closed.
I finished off the ornament with some twine for hanging and a festive red bow.

I'd like to thank Jen for having me as a guest this month.
You can find all the stamps that I used in the Newton's Nook Designs store.

 Thanks for visiting today!

Newton's Nook Designs November Release--Day 1

I'm so excited to be a part of Newton's Nook Designs November Release Hop!
I hope you've arrived from Tessa's blog. If not, start at the beginning at Newton's Nook
to see all the projects created by their design team and leave comments along the way.

Today we're all sharing projects with Winter Tails. Here's a look at the set.

And here's my card.

I stamped the bear on a snowball and masked him. The small snowflakes
were white embossed and I ink distressed the background with Peacock Feathers.
The image was colored with Copics and the punny sentiment is from the set.

I used a circle Spellbinder die to cut out the image and adhered it to a card
that was dry embossed with a falling snow embossing folder.
I used a white pigment pen to add some extra snow. How fun is that image?
