MFT August Release Countdown--Day 2

Two more countdown days until MFT's August Release! All new products will go
on sale Tuesday, August 2nd at 10PM EST! Have you got your wish lists ready?

Today I'm sharing Soak Up the Sun, a stamp set with underwater and
on-the-water fun. And really, how much fun can you have in a banana boat?

The ocean background is Whimsical Waves, that was white embossed on
a piece of watercolor card stock and ink distressed, then water spattered.
The panel was cut with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die, then adhered
to a white top folding card.

The adventurous monkeys and all the fishies were stamped and colored
with Copics, then cut with the coordinating dies.. They were all adhered on
the panel with dimensional adhesive and finished off with the sentiment. 

And although you can't see it, the final detail was to add a bit of shimmer
on the boat and fish with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

MFT August Release Countdown--Day 3

 It's Day 3 of My Favorite Things Release Countdown! All new products
will go on sale Tuesday, August 2nd at 10PM EST.

Are you ready for this month's Pure Innocence? She's a little cutie with a
hula hoop--one of my favorite toys from the past.

She was colored with Copics and cut with the matching dies. I fussy cut
a little more around her so the background would show through.
A piece of watercolor card stock was ink distressed and cut with
the rectangle element from Blueprints 29.

The little girl was adhered with dimensional foam adhesive and I colored
some grass with Copics to ground her. The finishing touch? Faux enamel
dots made with Nuvo Crystal Drops. Yes, I'm obsessed.

MFT August Release Countdown--Day 4

Day 4 of My Favorite Things August Release Countdown features Monster Love,
the cutest little critters bringing you monster-sized fun!

The Misti stamping tool came in handy for this card. I was able to ink the stamp with
two colors for two toned little monsters. I like to add a strip of patterned paper on the
bottom of my cards, and was able to make my own with the new Triple Stripe Background.

See the colorful dots? They're "faux" enamel dots made with Nuvo Crystal Drops.
Simply squeeze them directly onto the card and let them dry. I also made extra dots
by squeezing different sizes on a craft sheet and scraping them off when they dried.
I think the dots add some festive fun, and you can make custom sizes and colors, too.
