Welcome back to Day 4 of MFT's June Release Countdown.

This month Stacey Yacula brings us Picnic Pals--her adorable critters out on a

picnic date, complete with a picnic basket and blanket. How cute is that?

I decided that the critters on my card were having a nighttime picnic and ink
distressed an oval in darker sky and grass colors. The critters, basket, and blanket
were stamped and colored with Copics, then cut with the matching Die-namics and
assembled on the card. The white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

MFT June Release Countdown Day 5

It's time for summertime fun from My Favorite Things as the June Release

Countdown begins! 

Birdie Brown makes a splash with Friends With Fins--bigger and bolder fish and
sea mammals for all your aquatic themed projects.

A watercolor panel was ink distressed and spattered with water, then cut with the
Whimsical Waves Die-namics. They were adhered to a light blue panel then trimmed
and adhered to a white card base.

The dolphin, orca, and narwhal were stamped, colored with Copics and cut out with
the matching Die-namics. I adhered them to the waves, popping up the dolphin.
I stamped the sentiment, splash, and some underwater fishes.

CAS(E) this Sketch #324

Our leader Chrissy brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #324.

And here's my simplified take on it. 

 City Block Die-namics was cut from an alcohol inked piece and trimmed to fit 

the sketch. The building was adhered to a card base and a strip of patterned paper 

grounded it. The stamped sentiment finished off the card.

Wreath Building with MFT & Gina K Designs

My Favorite Things is now carrying Gina K Designs' Wreath Builder Templates 
for all of you wreath loving fans. This template set is a game changer when it comes to
constructing and designing a wreath on your projects.

Solid stamps work best for building a wreath. I chose to do (gasp!) a little surgery
on the Flower Silhouettes bloom and leaves. I trimmed off the long stems and cut apart
the leaves to a more manageable size that would fit on a wreath.

For my card, I used the 4" template, stamping the flowers in pink and the leaves in
two shades of green. I dotted the middle of the blooms with a pink Copic marker.
Because you're always turning the card within the template, you get a perfect
wreath every time.

Houses were cut from the cover plate and ink distressed, fading to the bottom,
adhered to a card base, then finished off with the stamped sentiment.

Hero Arts 45th Anniversary Blog Hop--Day 2

It's Day 2 of Hero Arts 45th Anniversary Blog Hop! Join us for three days of
celebrating Hero Arts' 45th Anniversary--wow!--and the launch of their
2019 Summer Catalog.

Hero Arts was my introduction to stamping and their Flickr group was where
I found friendships that continue till today. I'm thrilled and honored to be one of
the stops in today's lineup.
 

First, here's my card that I created using the From the Vault All Stamp Bold Prints
Catalog Bundle. I wanted the background stamp because it features images from some
of their earliest woodblock stamps that they pulled "from the vault." And as a bonus,
I received the Summer Catalog--such a great deal!

I white embossed the stamp and did my favorite ink distressing in rainbow colors.
I found the perfect sentiment  in the Believe in Yourself Narwhal set. I white embossed it
on a piece of black card stock and trimmed it, then popped it up on the card.

And it wouldn't be a celebration without PRIZES and Hero Arts pulled out all the stops
with the help of some amazing and generous friends and sponsors.

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #438

Here's this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge #438.

And here's my take on it.

The hexagon shape from Blueprints 33 was cut from Limelight card stock and
stamped with the dot background for texture. The largest shape was used to cut
the front edge of a white card base. A Limelight panel was stamped with thin
stripes and adhered to the card base then topped with the smaller piece.

The little watermelon cutie was stamped, colored with Copic markers and cut
with the matching Die-namics. She was popped up on the card and finished off
with assorted green enamel dots.

2019 To Bee or Not to Bee Blog Hop

Happy World Bee Day!

Blogging friend Milka is hosting another awareness blog hop, and this time,
it's all about BEES! The aim of the hop is to support bees and the protection of bees
as well as raise public awareness on the importance of bees and beekeeping.

In 2018 the UN designated May 20th as World Bee Day to raise awareness of the
importance of bees and other pollinators, the threats they face, and their contribution
to sustainable development.

The sentiment was stamped on white card stock and a honeycomb pattern was
cut through with hexagon dies. The panel was adhered to a white card base and
the hexies were ink distressed in yellow, then  popped back in their respective
spaces, making sure to line up the sentiment.

I stamped the bee and her happy face, then colored her with Copics and cut
her out with the matching dies. I popped her up on the card and stamped the
bee trail and spattered some "honey" over the card.

MFT May Birthday Project--Make a Wish

It's not a birthday celebration without candles--a single number candle for little ones

is always a winner while a towering inferno of colorful candles can't be beat for "big ones".

Light it up this month and show us your cards featuring CANDLES.

For my project, I cut candles from white card stock and colored them with Copic 

markers. The candle flames were cut from shiny gold card stock. I adhered the 

candles to a white card base in rainbow order, then adhered the flames at an angle 

to appear as if they're being blown.

The sentiment was gold embossed and I finished off the card with the double

stacked frame.

CAS(E) this Sketch #322

Here's this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #322, compliments of yours truly.

And after watching this video by MFT teammate Stephanie, I came up with this.

 I followed Stephanie's tutorial using glossy card stock and Distress Oxide inks
then followed up with a coating of Distress Glaze. I trimmed the fleshy part of
the fruit and added the "rind" on the bottom, then adhered them to a white
card base. The seeds and sentiment strip were cut from Steel Grey card stock
and adhered to the card.

Have you ever seen square watermelons? Apparently in Japan, they start
growing them in square molds and by the time they're ready to harvest,
a square watermelon is born. They're purely ornamental and not meant to be eaten
but still, fun to look at.

 Welcome to another MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Here's Sketch #437.

And here's my take on the sketch.

Different shapes of Drops were cut from white card stock and ink distressed
in rainbow colors. I adhered them to a Grout Gray card base to resemble splashes.
The little painter bear was stamped, colored and cut with the matching Die-namics
then adhered to the card. The white embossed sentiment finished off the card.
