Final Countdown Day! One More Day Until the New Release!

It's the final countdown day of MFT's December Release!

Today my project features a new background stamp--Crosshatch Polka Dot--and it's
a fun one to add to your background stamp collection.

I white embossed the image, then ink distressed and spattered the panel with white paint.
After the paint was dried, it was cut with the wonky stitched die. This month's "free
with $60" die is the smile Die-namics which was cut three times, layered, and
adhered to the panel.

The sentiment was white embossed on heavy vellum, trimmed, then adhered to the panel
with spray adhesive. The panel was then adhered to a white card base.

Are You Ready? 2 More Days Until MFT's December Release!

Yes, it's just a couple more days until MFT's December Release!
All new products will go on sale Tuesday, December 10th at 10AM EST.

Today I'm paying homage to Bei Bei, the adorable panda that was recently
returned to China (by private jet!) after being raised in the US.

Panda Pals is an adorable set of pandas, with matching Die-namics sold
separately.  Their favorite food--bamboo--was constructed with the Birch
Trees Die-namics and some leaves from a stitched flowers set.

The grass was drawn in with several Copic markers, then topped with the
bamboo and pandas. I finished off the card with the sentiment that was cut
apart to fit. How sweet are those two pandas?

We're Halfway There! 3 More Days Until MFT's December Release!

We're halfway through MFT's December Release Countdown--are you ready to
purchase new goodies on Tuesday, December 10th?

This month's Pure Innocence--You're My Person--is a cute one with two little
girls on one image.

After stamping the image, I colored each girl slightly different for a bit
of interest. I used a circle die and cut out a template from card stock, then
inked two colors and spattered water for some texture.

I popped up the image over the circle after it was dried and stamped the
sentiment beneath them. I finished off the card by rounding the corners.

Are You Counting? It's 4 More Days Until MFT's December Release!

It's Day 4 of MFT's December Release Countdown! All new goodies will go
on sale Tuesday, December 10th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store!

Today I've got a gender neutral birthday card using the new Smile Maker
Stamp Set, the Big Smile Die-namics--which is this month's "free with $60"
Die-namics--and the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.

Before cutting them apart, I dry embossed the five smallest circles off center
to add a bit of interest to the card. The letters were cut three times from white
card stock and I inked each letter in rainbow colors before stacking them
together. I adhered them to the card and added the white embossed sentiment.

Black and white diagonal striped paper was adhered to a card base, then topped
with the panel. Clear sequins finished off the card.

It's Time for MFT's December Release Countdown!

Welcome to Day 5 of MFT's December Release Countdown!

This month we've got everything from cute to classic to florals. Speaking of
florals, here's my project using the new Rose Garden Stamp and Die-namics

Now I'm typically not a floral gal, but I couldn't resist trying my hand at
coloring this gorgeous image. The image was stamped with Versafine ink
and clear embossed on Bristol so I could watercolor with Zig markers.

After coloring the rose, it wasn't pink enough for me, so I added in some shading
with Prismacolor pencils. There are still some  harsh lines but I went over
as best as I could with a blender pencil.

After die-cutting the image, I adhered it to a panel that was cut with some
wonky stitching, then adhered the panel to a card base. The shadow portion
of the sentiment was cut from heavyweight vellum, then topped with the
sentiment cut from white card stock. The second part of the sentiment
was white embossed on dark gray card stock and adhered to to the card.

Final Countdown Day Until MFT's October Release!

Yay! It's the final countdown day until MFT's October Release! All new goodies
will go on sale tomorrow October 8th at 10AM EST!

Today  I'm sharing two projects because there's  just so much holiday goodness
this month! The first uses Merry Christmas Blend together with 'Tis the Season
 on the background.

The Merry Christmas Blend is a follow up to the popular Happy Birthday Blend
which makes for quick cards if you use the Misti or any type of stamp positioner.
I stamped the "Merry" in pinks and reds, and the "Christmas" in two shades of
green, directly onto a panel.

The snowman and smaller images from 'Tis the Season were stamped on the panel
in Grout Gray ink. The second part of the sentiment was stamped in dark brown ink
and the panel was adhered to a kraft card base and finished off with sequins,

My second card pairs the Classic Snow Globe and an image from Merry Moments.

When I first saw the image, I could picture them snuggled inside the
snow globe. Brush Spatter Background was white embossed on watercolor
card stock then ink distressed in several shades of blue ink. The base of the
snow globe was stamped in wood grain and the globe was assembled
on a Primitive Cream card base.

The image was stamped, colored, and die cut to fit the inside the globe.
I stamped the sentiment beneath the globe and finished off the card with
a few mini stars cut from white and silver glitter card stock.

It's 2 More Days Until MFT's October Release!

It's just two more sleeps until MFT's October Release! Have you got your
wish lists ready?

Today I'm sharing another new Die-namics--Joyful Wreath. There's also a Joyful
Wreath Stamp set, but I've chosen to work with just the dies for my project.

The wreath was die cut from two shades of green card stock and inked lightly to
give it more dimension. The All Lined Up Background was stamped on kraft
with white pigment ink, then the panel was adhered to a card base.

I added the wreath, berries, then finished off the card with the two part sentiment.

3 More Days Until MFT's October Release!

We're halfway to MFT's October Release! All new goodies will go on sale
Tuesday, October 8th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store!

When I first saw the Sun-Lovin' Santa, I couldn't wait make a card with him.
I love his Aloha shirt and sandals and the decorated palm tree is so fun! I'm not
adding the flamingo in the set, so I'm calling him a Hawaiian Santa. 😉

Brush Spatter Background was white embossed on watercolor card stock then ink
distressed and cut with the largest Stitched Dome STAX Die-namics. Kraft card stock
was torn and inked with white pigment ink and white embossed to resemble snow,

All the images were stamped in dark gray ink, colored and cut with the matching
Die-namics. They were adhered to the dome piece, then adhered to a white card
base. The white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

4 More Days Until MFT's October Release!

We're counting down the days until MFT's October Release!

The October Release is chock full of holiday stamps, Die-namics and stencils
and today I decided to play with the new Little Town of Bethlehem Die-namics.

The building pieces were die cut from watercolor card stock, ink distressed and
layered together. The ground was cut from light gray card stock and adhered
on the bottom of the buildings, then popped up on a dark gray card base.

I chose an older, smaller sentiment and heat embossed it with platinum embossing
powder. I wanted the Star of Bethlehem to be the same platinum color, so I used
Jennifer McGuire's faux metal embossing technique and created a platinum star.
I adhered the star and added some extra sparkle with a metallic pen.

MFT's October Release Countdown Begins!

Get ready for tons of holiday inspiration with My Favorite Things October Release
and it's a HUGE one with everything from cute to whimsical to contemporary.

And be sure to welcome MFT's newest design team member--CALY PERSON.
I just love her work and know her as the sweetest (and busiest!) blogger.

Birdie Brown starts us off with Christmas sELFies--a festive follow up to her
popular Picture Perfect stamp set.

I chose the trio of snowmen for some holiday Polaroids. They were stamped
and colored with watercolor pencils and a water brush. I cut them out with
the Selfie Square Die-namics, then mounted a patterned paper frame over them.

Another frame was cut from Christmas text paper, and they were layered and
adhered to a white card base. The card was finished off with the stamped sentiment.
