MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #448

Ready for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge?
Here's Sketch #448.

This sketch bears resemblance to a CAS(E) this Sketch card from 2018
where a wrapped present inspired me.

Basically, I changed the colors and came up with this--another present.

A bow and three strips of card stock were cut from Coral Crush card stock.
The sentiment was stamped on  a Peach Bellini card base, then dry embossed
with the polka dot cover up plate. The bow was assembled then adhered to the
longest strip. All three strips were then adhered to the card.

Come and join the challenge and you could be the random winner of a
$50 MFT gift voucher! Visit the MFT blog for all the details and deadlines.
We hope to see you in the gallery!

MFT July 2019 Hits & Highlights

This month My Favorite Things is celebrating their birthday and what better way
to do that than by keeping the party going with projects using the July Release
and the newest Card Kit.

I love the Impact Alphabet and Impact Numbers Die-namics and when I spied one of
the new Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 2, I knew what I was going to do. 😉

I diecut the greeting three times from white card stock and stacked and adhered each
letter to form thick chipboard letters. I also diecut them from watercolor card stock and
inked each letter in a different color then adhered each one on top.

A stitched panel was adhered to a Grout Gray card base. A large splatter was stamped
several times on the card and the sentiment stamped beneath it. The card was finished
by adhering the letters over the splatter design, making sure to tilt the "U" for fun, and
adding some clear sequins.

Thanks for stopping by and celebrating another year with My Favorite Things. And
remember to use the hashtag #mftstamps whenever you share your MFT projects
on social media.

CAS(E) this Sketch #332

This week's CAS(E) this Sketch #332 is a little number from me.

Here's my take on it turning the sketch counter clockwise 90°.

I'm thankful to be a pack rat and keep every scrap of alcohol ink piece for times
like this. I trimmed a strip and adhered it to a card base, topped it with a dolphin
(also from my scrap box) and finishing it off with the sentiment and sequins.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, August 1st and as
the weekly winner, you'll be invited to join us on a future sketch.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #447

And here's how I interpreted the sketch.

I was going to use water or land for the bottom of the sketch, and land won.
Two rows of grassy edges were stenciled with Limelight ink and spattered with
water. I added my favorite cow and a few cloud outlines to keep the card CAS.
The stamped sentiment in contrasting red ink finished off the card.

MFT July Card Kit--Let's Toast (with a Twist) Release Day

It's time! MFT's Let's Toast (with a Twist) Card Kit can now be purchased in the
MFT Store! I have one last card to share with you--a shaker card that was inspired
by one of the sentiments in the kit.

The wine glass die was cut three times into a panel. Three glasses were die cut and
inked in pink, yellow and red inks. Acetate was adhered behind the glasses, then each
glass was popped into an open space.

Coordinated colors of sequins were placed in each space before the panel was adhered
in place over them. The white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

This amazing kit comes with an interactive element that makes the glasses "clink".
Teammate Laura, who designed the dies has a wonderful tutorial here if you're inclined
to give this a try. The dies can be used with other stamps, too and I'm hoping to try
them out on a future project.

So off you go to grab your Card Kit! And remember to comment on all team members'
blogs for a chance to be the random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher.

MFT July Card Kit--Let's Toast (with a Twist) Day 2

It's Day 2 of previews of MFT's July Card Kit--Let's Toast (with a Twist). This fun kit
will go on sale tomorrow, July 23rd at 10AM EST in the MFT Store.

I ink distressed more cocktail glasses in rainbow colors then adhered them to a
white card base. Here's a pic of the temporary layout of the glasses.

After permanently adhering down all the glasses, I trimmed off anything that was
hanging over the edge of the card.

The sentiment was white embossed on a strip of black card stock and the card was
finished off with a few sequins.

MFT July Card Kit--Let's Toast (with a Twist) Day 1

Are you ready to meet MFT'S July Card Kit? Let's Toast (with a Twist) is chock full
of cocktail fun and will go on sale Tuesday, July 23rd at 10AM EST in the MFT Store.

Visit today's Card Kit post for a closer look at the kit and a detailed description of the
kit's contents.

For my card, I ink distressed all of the drink ware after cutting them from white
card stock. I adhered a strip of patterned paper onto a card base, then added the
glasses over it to ground them.

The sentiment is the "free with $60" Die-namics that was cut from dark gray
card stock and adhered over the "shadow" portion of the sentiment. I added a bit of
"salt" on the green margarita, and finished off the card with clear sequins.

MFT July Birthday Project Challenge--Birthday Flowers

This month's MFT Birthday Project is all about flowers. They're a welcome gift
for a multitude of occasions and a birthday card featuring florals is a gift that can
be treasured forever.

With an expansive selection of floral imagery and Die-namics available, from
elegant to whimsical, we know you’ll WOW us with your submissions this month.

For my project, I used the single Beautiful Bloom and gold embossed it on
watercolor card stock. The bloom was colored in with Zig markers and a water
brush, cut with the matching Die-namics, and then fussy cut.

A square was cut slightly off center from a panel and the bloom was adhered
behind it. The panel was then adhered to a Limelight card base and the card was
finished off with the gold embossed sentiment.

Create a birthday card with a floral theme and join the challenge. Add as many
flowers as you like and you could be the random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher!
Visit the MFT blog for all the details and deadlines. We hope to see you in the gallery!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #445

Here's this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #445.

And here's my take on it.

Three aquatic critters were white embossed and ink distressed, then cut with
the matching Die-namics. A panel was ink distressed with Distress Oxide inks and
spattered with water. The sentiment was silver embossed on navy card stock then
adhered to the card. The three animals were adhered per the sketch and the card
was finished off with clear sequins.
