Meet CAS(E) this Sketch #269, courtesy of N@ Ali.

And here's how I interpreted the sketch.

A set of leaves were inked with Distress inks and spritzed with water before

being stamped on a watercolor panel. The panel was cut with a stitched die

and adhered to an Olive card base. I stamped the sentiment and finished

off the card with small white pearls.

I adhered green striped paper to a white card base and topped it with a scallop
edge piece. Three blooms that were colored with Zig markers were adhered on  the
card. The stamped sentiment finished off the card.

MFT Stitched Blooms Card Kit Release Day

I'm sharing one more project with you, using products that you may already own,
to show you the versatility of the kit.

After die cutting the flowers and leaves from watercolor card stock, I contemplated 

ink distressing them but grabbed my Zig markers and a water brush and did some

 "messy" watercoloring. It was fast, fun, and forgiving!

A white card base was covered with gray polka dotted paper and a scalloped
piece was adhered on top. I adhered a mix of flowers and leaves and white 

embossed the sentiment on a strip of Cement Gray card stock. The card

was finished off with 3mm Sparkling Clear sequins.

MFT Stitched Blooms Card Kit Day 2

It's Day 2 of previews of MFT's Stitched Blooms Card Kit. This colorful kit will go
on sale tomorrow, April 24th at 9PM EST in the MFT Store.

Today I'm sharing a simple Mother's Day card and an idea on how to add a little
something to the envelopes. First, here's the card.

Zig markers were used to color a batch of flowers. The bloom was cut on the dotted
line and overlapped with the next petal to form a dimensional flower. The leaves were
cut from Limelight card stock and shading was added with a YG03 Copic marker.

Stitched lines were embossed on a top folding card base. The letters for "mom"
were cut from kraft card stock and adhered to the card. The bloom was substituted
for the "o" and adhered between the two m's. I didn't want to detract from the
main image so the sentiment was stamped in Grout Gray ink beneath it.

I wanted to add a little something to the envelopes and decided to dry emboss the
flaps with different word dies. Teammate Laurie Willison shares her technique here.
I went the lazy route and just embossed the flap using an embossing mat.

Do you spy coordinating colored envelopes? So pretty!

Today I'm sharing a card using most of the supplies in the kit.

The flowers and leaves were cut from the card stock in the kit and I added some
shading on each flower using ink daubers and Distress inks.

I also cut along the dotted line on the smaller flowers and cupped them to form a more
 dimensional flower before adhering them to a larger flower beneath.

Before adding the flowers and leaves to the kraft card base, I added some stitched
lines and finished off with the sentiment cut from brown card stock and enamel dots
in the center of the blooms.

And here's my take on it.

I'll admit to being a little stumped with this sketch, then thought about creating

a scene on the right side of the card. I adhered polka dotted patterned paper

on a white card base, popped up some clouds and a puddle jumper, then finished

off with the stamped sentiment.

MFT April Birthday Project

Shaker cards are ridiculously addictive - both to create and to play with. That
“shooka, shooka” sound your recipient will hear before they even open the envelope
is a sure sign that something AMAZING will be found within!

Join the team this month as we share inventive birthday-themed shaker cards

Here's my shaker card which came together quickly thanks to a circle die
and some chicks that were in my stash, waiting to be used on a project.

I stamped an In the Buff panel with Balloon Strings in Versamark ink. After
die cutting the scalloped circle through it, I adhered a piece of acetate over it.
Foam tape was doubled up around the circle. I stamped the sentiment on a
scrap of Limelight card stock, then cut out a circle to fit over the opening.

 I added several spoonfuls of sequins in the opening, then covered it with the green
circle. I adhered the panel to an In the Buff card base, then added the five chicks on top.

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #381

Here's this week's MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #381.

And here's how I interpreted the sketch.

A circle was cut from watercolor card stock and ink distressed with two colors
of Distress Oxide inks then spattered with water. A toad that was colored earlier
was adhered to a lily pad then popped up on the circle.

It's difficult to see, but I white embossed Balloon Strings (one of my favorite
background stamps) on the card base for a bit of interest. I adhered the circle
onto the card base and finished off the card with the stamped sentiment and
enamel dots.

CAS(E) this Sketch #267 is courtesy of yours truly, and it looks like this.

And here's my take on it--a busy little scene!

I thought of a scene on a Polaroid photo. I ink distressed a panel and spattered
water on it, then drew some grass on the bottom with a Copic marker. Two
clouds and the sun were adhered on the top of the scene and three ducklings
(one, a runaway!) were adhered to the grass. The card was finished off
with the stamped sentiment.

And here's my take on it.

I created an underwater ocean with the Drifts and Hills Stencil and several colors
of Distress Oxide inks. The panel was cut with a circle die and adhered to a Stone Gray
card base. The mermaid was stamped, colored with Copics and die cut with the matching
Die-namics and popped up on the ocean. I added the white embossed sentiment, and
adhered the turtle and clear drops.
