Hello FALL -- 2023 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Thank goodness for Daylight Savings as I have extra time to enter the
2023 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with a few hours to spare.

I went with a fall theme and I mixed and matched products from four companies.

The cups are Mama Elephant's Boba Shaker Dies, cut from different colors of card stock.
I ran the band through a corrugator before adhering it to the cups. The background is
the new Basket Weave Card Front from Concord & 9th.

The leaves are from Papertrey Ink, die cut from white card stock and colored
with dye inks. I attached three leaves and a twine bow to a cup, then adhered
all three to the card. A gold embossed sentiment finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping by--I'm off to link this up!

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #11 -- HOLLY

Here is my card.

I inked a Lil' Inker Designs mug in red ink then colored and added a bit of holly.

A strip of Catherine Pooler patterned paper was adhered to a card base then topped off
with the mug and greenery. I added some red enamel dots as holly berries and stamped

I'm also linking up this card to the 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop since
the card has all that holly.

Thanks for stopping by!

Edited to add: My CCCC card was chosen as a Top Pick! So honored! This means I will be
guesting with them come January. Thanks so much, Amy, and to Kathy who made the pick!

2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Joining the latest season of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with a slimline card.

Sadly, Lil' Inkers has closed up its shop but I loved their coffee mugs and sentiments so much
that I decided to use them. I'm sure they were Super Sponsors at some point.

The mugs were cut from white card stock and the sentiments were white embossed on them.
I inked them in autumnal colors from Concord & 9th. They were adhered to a slimline panel,
then finished off with brown enamel dots.

Huge thanks to Amy and her helpers for putting together another fantastic hop!

One Cup at a Time

I'm linking up one project to the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop on the
very last day, just under the wire. Thank goodness for DST. I think I made it.

Here's my card, using a panel of stenciled flowers that wasn't perfect but
works out fine for a ceramic coffee cup.

I've been playing with layered stencils and Altenew's Hill Blossoms arrived
together with their detailed blending brushes. I am super messy, no matter how
much I mask. So a smudged panel was cut with a Marianne Design mug die
and inked around the edges.

I ran a kraft card base through an old embossing folder for a bit of texture, and
remembered to stamp the sentiment before that for a better impression.
I trimmed the panel a bit to let the cup extend beyond the edges, then
popped up the mug.

Thanks to Amy, and her Coffee Crew for another successful hop!

Edited to add: My card was chosen as a Designer Pick by Helen!
Thank you so much!

2020 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm finally joining this year's Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I made some time after my order from Frantic Stamper (thanks, Fran!) arrived just a
few days after I placed my order. I was planning to use it for a future Coffee Lovers Hop
because I didn't think it would fly to Hawaii so quickly but I'm thankful that it did.

Aren't those the cutest gnomes sitting in coffee cups? The dies are by Cottage Cutz,
a new to me company, and what I liked about the set is they were on one solid piece.
There are no dies to cut apart and all the pieces cut in one pass.

Everything was cut from white card stock then ink distressed or, for the noses
and the holly, colored with Copics. This happens to be a mini slimline card and I used
Taylored Expressions' dies which were the perfect size for three gnomes. Sometimes
regular slimline cards are too big and I find myself trying to fill up spaces on the card
base. Mini slimlines are now a new fave!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sitting here, thinking of you

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2020/05/2020-spring-summer-coffee-lovers-blog-hop/

My second and final card for the Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.
My goodness the week just flew by! I thought for sure I'd make several cards
using some of the sponsors' products, too. Did.not.happen.

In the end, I made another card using The Greetery's Cozy Cup set with almost
the same layout, a different color mug and coaster, and an extra sprig thrown in.

I debossed the background with Altenew's Dotted Swirls Debossing Cover Die and
made a kraft cozy coaster. I added a little teal to the sprig and adhered everything
to the card base. The sentiment finished off the card.

And truthfully, I have never had a latté before. I mean, I've had a Starbucks latté.
Just not the fancy schmancy kind with the artsy foam.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Cheers to Amy and her team for another
well organized hop!

Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop

The wait is over! It's time for the Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop!
The hop is definitely a bright spot in our crafty lives, whether you're a coffee,
tea, or cocoa drinker--or all three!

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2020/05/2020-spring-summer-coffee-lovers-blog-hop/

I couldn't wait to go through my coffee and tea themed stamps and join the hop.
I've had The Greetery's Cozy Cup set for a while and finally got a chance to ink it up.
My inspiration came from Laurie Willison's card and I told her how much I loved it
and that I would CASE her. And I did!

The set is fun to ink up because of the different layers. I especially love the
detail on the cup's handle--the shading is so cool! The sentiment was stamped on
the coaster, then the cup, spoon, and spring were arranged on top.

Thanks to Amy and her hardworking brew crew, to Laurie for the inspiration,
and to you for stopping by!

2019 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2019/05/2019-spring-summer-coffee-lovers-blog-hop-2/

It's my favorite season of the year--a Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Shanna Slater
designed the most perfect logo with a Spring/Summer theme. I LOVE the little
cactus in the polka dot teacup--it's just too cute!

I made a quick shaped card using the Sizzix Mug die and Altenew's wide washi tape.
The beauty of washi tape is that it sticks to card stock. I adhered a piece to white
card stock before die cutting the mug and handle.

The "coffee" inside the cup was cut and colored in with Copic markers then adhered
to the top of the mug. The sentiment was stamped on an oval piece and I added a small
pink heart. The piece was adhered to the mug.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the hop! Caffeinated hugs to Amy and
her brew crew for a job well done on another successful hop!

Sending Warm & Cozy Hugs

I managed to make another card for the Fall/Winter 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
This time, I paired Concord & 9th and Lawn Fawn products.

I stamped one of the hipster girls on kraft card stock and did minimal coloring
and highlights with colored pencils and a white pigment pen. In keeping with
the coffee theme, I added a to-go cup with a mitten over the image.

I'm wondering if I can possibly squeeze in another card?
Stay tuned, but don't hold your breath. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fall/Winter 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's time! Amy and her crew have once again put together the caffeine infused hop
that we all look forward to with an amazing sponsor list that just keeps growing!

I must have felt the vibes of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop because I made
this card in mid-October using some Lil' Inkers products for the very first time.

I white embossed the sentiment on the cup before ink distressing it. I made a square
card and was trying to go for a chalkboard look. In hindsight, I shouldn't have spattered
it so much--it looks more like a nighttime sky.

I'm hoping to share a couple more caffeinated cards before the 7th....you, too?
Thanks for stopping by!

2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I may be the last (or nearly the last!) entry for the 2018 Spring/Summer
Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I just couldn't miss all the caffeinated fun!

I found a piece of alcohol ink background and cut the cover and sleeve and ran the
sleeve thru a corrugator. I assembled the cup, adhered it to a panel and stamped
the sentiment. Pink and cream confetti finished off the card.

Thanks again, Amy, and your fantastic crew for putting together another
successful hop!

Tag You're It #79 and (Belated) Happy National Cocoa Day

I'm squeezing in a tag Tag You're It Challenge #79 and the Winter 2017
Coffee Lovers Blog Hop for National Cocoa Day.

Here's the inspiration tag from guest designer Leigh.

Sadly, this is the last challenge for Tag You're It, after 3-1/2 years of
wonderful tag inspiration. I just had to join the last challenge and here's my tag.

A mug was inked with Cracked Pistachio Distress ink and adhered to a tag.
I adhered a snowflake on the mug, and the "cocoa" and whipped cream.
The sentiment was stamped on the tag with brown ink and I added some
"snow" with Distress Stickles.

I'm also linking this to the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop (belatedly) for
National Cocoa Day which was yesterday, December 13th.

Yep, "Hawaiian time"--that's me!
Thanks for stopping by.

2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and Giveaway!

It's time for the winter edition of our favorite blog hop--the 2017 Winter
Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I believe I missed the last hop--too much traveling!--
but I loved seeing all the coffee, tea, and cocoa inspiration and I managed
to put together a card for this season.

I colored up the Cozy Lady by Brandi Kincaid for Ellen Hutson and decided to
mask off a bunch of take out coffee cups for her to hold. Looks a little dangerous,
I agree, and when I shared a pic on Instagram, some folks offered to help her
hold some! (Thanks, Ivy!)

* * *

And in honor of the hop, I have a small giveaway of coffee related goodies
for one lucky commenter. These are duplicates that I bought and what better
time to share them than with coffee lovin' friends.

(Prize package includes: Lawn Fawn Pumpkin Spice and matching Lawn Cuts
Unity Stamps Fall to Go, Neat and Tangled Warm Wishes and Doodlebug Designs
  Latte Love Shape Sprinkles)

Just tell me if you're a coffee, tea, or cocoa lover--or all three! The deadline
to comment is the last day of the hop, December 15th, and I'll announce the
winner a few days after that. One comment per person, please! 😘

I just realized that my card has more of a "fall" theme than a winter one,
probably because I colored her before Thanksgiving. Oopsie!

I'm off to peruse the entries! Big thanks to Amy and her crew for another
successful hop that brings us together, one cup at a time! 🍵☕

(Note: Comments are closed, thank you for stopping by during the hop!)

Summer 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's time for the Summer 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Summer is my favorite season because of all the cold beverages we consume,
which probably helped me attain my Gold Card status at STARBUCKS® 😋

My card features three of my favorite drinks: Iced coffee, Matcha
Frappuccino, and a Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino.

Three of  MFT's Cool Cups were ink distressed and spattered with water for the
"frosty" look. I adhered a piece of patterned paper and tucked in the straws.
The sentiment was white embossed on a strip of vellum and adhered to the card.

Huge thanks to Amy and her helpers for coordinating another successful hop!
I feel a record breaking number of entries this time--you too?
Thanks for stopping by and let's enjoy all of the wonderful inspiration!
