Ready for a new sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch? Here's #174 from Chrissy.

And here's my take on it.

MFT teammate Francine shared her coloring technique using DIY stencils.
I cut assorted sized circles on acetate and sponged in color with dye inks.
I added highlights with a white pigment pen, stamped the sentiment,
then finished off with a few enamel dots. One layer card, done!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge--ANYTHING GOES

Welcome back to a new Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp, and the theme

is the ever popular ANYTHING GOES. We are showcasing Technique Tuesday 

products and you don't have to use them to join the challenge, but feel free to 

 if you have them.

For my project, I decided to go "cute" with Technique Tuesday's Bird Friends.

Since the images are small, I chose to create an A1 sized card. I inked a
woodgrain card with Distress inks and flicked water and white paint over it,
then cut it with a stitched rectangle die after it was dried.

The birds were stamped and colored with Copics and I fussy cut them out.

Gasp! I know, right? Scissors challenged me! I promise that no birds were

harmed during the process.

I adhered the panel to a top folding cream card base, then added a strip of 

green striped paper to ground the birds. The sentiment was white embossed

and both birds and the sentiment were popped up with dimensional adhesive.

The card was finished off with enamel dots.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #282

Are you ready for this week's sketch at My Favorite Things? Sketch #282
is a fun one and it here it is.

And here's my abstract take on it.

I inked up the splat image with rainbow colors of Distress inks and spritzed it with water
each time before stamping on watercolor card stock. The panel was cut with the rectangle
 element from Blueprints 24 and adhered to a white card base. The card was finished
off with the sentiment, and a strip of black striped paper.

MFT Creative Construction with Blueprints--Seeing Stars

Stars have a way of adding something special to any project and will never
go out of style. Our team loves them too, and we'll be sharing Blueprints featuring
stars to craft a variety of projects from masculine to dreamy.

I love the finished look of stitching on a card panel, and I use Blueprints 24
on almost every card that I make. Blueprints 24 has two sizes of stars
in the set, and today I used them for the challenge.

I created the night sky with several Distress inks, then spattered it with

water and white paint. After it was dried, I cut it with the rectangle element

from Blueprints 24, and adhered it to a Stone Gray card base.

A small hill was cut and highlighted with white pigment ink, then adhered

to the inked background. A bunny was stamped and colored with Copics, 

then cut with the matching dies. 

Several stars and the "Wish" sentiment were cut from silver glitter

card stock and adhered to the card. I silver embossed the second part

of the sentiment and adhered the bunny on the hill. I finished off the card

with a shadow under him, drawn in with a gray Copic marker.
