MFT April Release and MFT & Friends

It's time to shop MFT's April Release! All new products can be found here

It's also time for MFT & Friends when the Creative Team and guests share
more inspiration and ideas with the April Release!

I have one more project to share with you to possibly add to your lists, using

Sweet Spring Friends on a friendship card.

I stamped the tree and critters and colored them with Copics, then cut them with

the matching Die-namics. A stitched dome was ink distressed and spattered with

water and set aside to dry.

A kraft card base was stamped with a woodgrain background, and the dome piece

was adhered to it. All of the images were adhered on the card and finished off with

the stamped sentiment.

MFT April Release Countdown Day 1

It's the final Countdown Day of MFT's April Release! Have you got your shopping
lists ready?

Today I'm sharing Stacey Yacula's Piggy Pebbles and this month's "free with
$60" Die-namics--Stitched Ric Rac.

I wanted to try no line coloring on the pigs, and chose the one with the umbrella.

I stamped the pig in Antique Linen Distress ink, then colored the image with Copics.

I die cut the pig with the matching Die-namics, and cut two more pieces and layered
them to form a thick, chipboard like piece.

The Ric Rac Die-namics was cut from three different colors of card stock and
adhererd to the bottom of the card to ground the pig. The stamped sentiment
finished off the card.

MFT April Release Countdown Day 2

It's two more sleeps until MFT's April Release! All  new goodies will go
on sale Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 10AM EST in the MFT Store!

Today my card features the Window Die-namics together with the previous  
"free with $60" Die-namics--Tree Branch.

The window was cut from white card stock and although they can be opened,
I opted to seal it shut and add a piece of acetate for the panes. A rectangle piece
of watercolor card stock was stenciled with a cloud background and topped with
the tree branch, then adhered to the back of the window frame.

The window piece was popped up on a Primitive Cream card base with
dimensional adhesive. In keeping with this month's "piggy" theme, I adhered
a pig gazing out the window and finished off the card with the sentiment.

MFT April Release Countdown Day 3

We're halfway to MFT's April Release! All new products will go on sale on
Tuesday, April 9th at 10AM EST.

Today I'm sharing the newest Pure Innocence cutie--Bundles of Love.
And do you spy our newest background stamp? All Lined Up Background is a
fun plaid that I'm excited about. Plaids are a timeless pattern and can be used
for any gender, and any occasion.

The little girl was stamped and colored with Copics, then cut with the matching
Die-namics. All Lined Up Background was white embossed on kraft and adhered
to a kraft card base.

A white card panel was cut with the curved scallop edges and adhered to the
card. The little girl was popped up on the card and the sentiment was cut apart
and stamped on the card. Enamel dots finished off the card.

MFT April Release Countdown Day 4

It's Day 4 of MFT's April Release Countdown!

This month's critter Die-namics is Little Piggy and I've paired her with the

 "free with $60" Die-namics--Stitched Ric-Rac which will be featured at a later date.

All of the Piggy pieces were cut from pink card stock and ink distressed for some
dimension. The hooves were inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink and the eyes were
colored with a black Copic marker. Blush was added to the pig's cheeks and highlights
were added with a pigment pen.

Limelight card stock was cut three times with the ric rac die. Two of the pieces were
inked with green Distress inks, and all three pieces were adhered to a white card base.
I stamped the sentiment, then adhered the pig with its arms outstretched. I added the
frame and a small heart beneath the sentiment.

MFT April Release Countdown Day 5

April is here and that means it's time for My Favorite Things April Release Countdown!

This month Birdie Brown brings us Picture Perfect, a set that's all about the 21st
century trend of taking selfies!

Aren't these fun? All the images were clear embossed on Bristol card stock and
colored with Zig markers and a waterbrush. The Polaroid Frames were cut with
dotted papers and layered with a contrasting color.

All sentiments were stamped on the bottom and all three cards were finished
off with enamel dots.

CAS(E) this Sketch #316

Teammie Brian brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #316.
 

Here's what I came up with.

The focal piece is Altenew's wide washi tape adhered to card stock and cut

with a circle die. Striped paper was adhered diagonally per the sketch, topped

off with the circular design and a sentiment. Great sketch, Brian! (And thanks
for the nudge to use my hoarded washi tape.)

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #431

Here's this week's MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #431.

And here's my take on it.

A tall tag was inked and waiting to be used in my scrap pile. I did some "die
cutting surgery" on the end to get the desired shape. The little girl was stamped,

colored with Copics and cut with the matching Die-namics. 

I adhered the tag to a white card base, popped up the girl and added the

white embossed sentiment.

CAS(E) this Sketch #315

Former teammie Nathalie brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #315.

And here's my take on it.

A butterfly, a strip of patterned paper and a sentiment. Doesn't get more 

literal than that. I was planning to substitute the butterfly in the sketch,

but when I saw this dotted one in my stash, I decided to pair her with the
dotted paper.
 

Serendipitous? Or lazy? I think the latter. 😉 And because I want to keep you
a bit longer, here's another version (thanks to some UnDu) where I tilted the
butterfly for a bit of interest.
