MFT November Release Countdown--Day 4

It's Day 4 of My Favorite Things November Release Countdown!

This month's Birdie Brown is New Best Friend--an adorable set dedicated to
our furry best friends......our pets!

The puppy loving girl, kitty, and pup were stamped and colored with Copics,
then cut with the matching Die-namics. A piece of patterned paper was cut
with a stitched rectangle die and adhered to a white card base. The girl,
kitty, and pup were adhered to the card, grounded on an oval shadow.

The sentiment was curved slightly and stamped on a banner, then adhered
to the card. Small hearts finished off the card.

MFT November Release Countdown--Day 5

Wow! Can you believe we're in the month of November? A new month and we've
got a new member on our Creative Team! Please stop by her blog and give a warm
welcome to Amy Yang who does "cute" like no one else.

Let's start with Day 5 of My Favorite Things November Release Countdown!
It's all about mandalas this month and I couldn't wait to play with the
Mesmerizing Mandala Background stamp.

Mandalas are generally colorful but I chose to ink distress with blues so it
resembled a giant snowflake. After white embossing the mandala on watercolor
card stock, I ink distressed with several colors of Distress inks, then spattered
the background with water.

The sentiment was white embossed on the card and dots were added with a
white pigment pen. The piece was trimmed with a rectangle die, then adhered to
a Grout Gray card base. The card was finished off with Sparkling Clear sequins.

CAS(E) this Sketch #246

Teammie Leigh brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.
Meet Sketch #246.

And here's my take on it.

Three snowflakes were clear embossed on watercolor card stock and ink
distressed. Inks were smooshed on a piece of acetate, sprayed with water
and pressed over the snowflakes. The piece was spattered with water and cut
with the Mod Rectangle Die, then adhered to a Grout Gray card base. The
sentiment was cut twice from silver glitter card stock and adhered to the card.

the sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday,

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #357

It's Wednesday, time for a new MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge!
Here's Sketch #357.

And here's my simplified take on it.

A sheet of patterned paper was cut and adhered to a white card base then
topped with a woodgrain banner. The tangled up pup was stamped, colored
with Copics and cut with the matching Die-namics.

The pup became the square element, and I added the white embossed
sentiment banner to ground him. Small enamel dots finished off the card.

random winner of the weekly prize--a $50 MFT gift voucher!

CAS(E) this Sketch #245

It's time for a retro sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!
Here's Sketch #245 which was Sketch #88 from me in August 2014.

Here's my updated take on the sketch using the Mondo Hydrangea.

The Mondo Hydrangea and extra flowers were stamped with purple Distress ink
on watercolor card stock. Using a waterbrush, I colored in all the flowers with
blue and purple Distress inks and let them dry.

The stamen portion of the flowers and the stems were colored in with Copic
markers. After all the images were dry, I re-stamped the image again (leaving
the stamps it in the Misti helped!) with purple Distress ink, then cut them out
and adhered them to the card. The stamped sentiment finished off the card.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted this
retro sketch, and join us if you can! Link up your card(s) by Thursday, Nov 2nd
and as the weekly winner, you'll be invited to guest with us on a future challenge!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #356

Are you ready for this week's MFT Wed Sketch Challenge?
Here's Sketch #356.

And here's my take on it.

Whimsical Woodgrain was stamped on Kraft card stock with Sweet Tooth
pigment ink. After the ink dried, I trimmed out the panel with a Rectangle
die and adhered it to a Primitive Cream card base.

Three leaves were ink distressed and spattered with white paint for a bit
of interest. I adhered them to the card, and finished off with the white
embossed banner sentiment and enamel dots.

a $50 MFT gift voucher as the random weekly winner!

United We Flourish with Ellen Hutson and MFT

My Favorite Things is the featured company for this month's United We Flourish
campaign with Ellen Hutson LLC.  An exclusive set--Good Friends--is now
on sale and available only in the Ellen Hutson store!

Here's my card using this fun set that will appeal to both dog and cat lovers alike.

Rather than color in the images, I went for the chalkboard look. I stamped
all of the animals with Sweet Tooth pigment ink onto Steel Grey card stock.
The heart, ball of yarn, and bone were stamped with Distress Oxide inks,
then colored in with colored pencils.

The panel was cut with a stitched rectangle and adhered to a Stone Gray
card base. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of ink distressed paper,
then trimmed it out with a banner and popped it up on the card.

Visit today's post at My Favorite Things for more inspiration from our Creative
Team and guests, then head over to the Ellen Hutson store to grab your
 Good Friends set!

CAS(E) this Sketch #244

Chrissy brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #244.

And here's my take on it--a card made with all dies.

Two maple leaves were ink distressed and adhered to a kraft card base.
Since I wanted them to hang over the edge, I trimmed the card so it would
still fit into an A2 envelope. The sentiment was cut from brown card stock
and adhered to the leaves. The card was finished off with a few enamel dots.

sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, Oct 26th

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #355

Here's this week's MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #355.

And here's my take on it. Oh, I love a simple sketch!

I stamped a Polar Bear, colored him with Copics, then cut him out with the
matching Die-namics. A strip of striped patterned paper was adhered to a
Grout Gray card base. Icebergs were adhered to the card and the bear was
popped up on top of them. I added the sentiment and finished off the card
with a few white stars.

$50 MFT gift voucher as the random winner of the challenge! Hope to see
you in the gallery!

CAS(E) this Sketch #243

CAS(E) this Sketch #243 is a super simple one from me.

And here's what I came up with, thanks to an already colored witch sitting
in my stash of die cuts.

I tried monochromatic coloring with Copics on Birdie Brown's witch. She was
adhered to striped paper with an orange strip for a pop of color. I stamped
the sentiment and finished off the card with enamel dots.
