Color Throwdown Challenge #431

Welcome back to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and my last post
as February's guest designer. This week's colors are so pretty and my favorite
palette of the month.

The color palette is mint green, green, plum, and light brown. Besides the color palette,
I was inspired by the photo, and here's what I came up with.

Three cacti were gold embossed and colored with Zig markers and a water brush.
Three pots were die cut and ink distressed with Distress Oxide inks. Using the
residual ink, I stenciled the background on a Primitive Cream card base.
A rectangle frame was added and the potted cacti were added on the card.
The card was finished off with the banner sentiment.

 I have one last project to share with you using this amazing kit.

The outline image of the larger butterfly was stamped in Versamark ink
and embossed with black embossing powder on watercolor card stock.
Each butterfly was ink distressed with two colors of Distress inks, then
cut with the matching Die-namics.

In order to fit three butterflies, a larger 4x6" card base was made with
Grout Gray card stock. The butterflies were adhered to the card and
the white embossed sentiment was popped up over them. The card was
finished with a combination of Nuvo Drops and enamel dots.

Today I'm sharing a quick card card with some watercolored butterflies
and a camouflaged sentiment. For my card kit projects, all products in bold
are part of the kit and the rest of the supplies are linked below.

The solid butterfly stamp was inked with Distress inks, spritzed with
water, then stamped randomly on a watercolor panel. HUGS was cut
from the panel, and three times from white card stock.

The letters were stacked and glued together to form thick letters, then
popped back into their respective spaces. The panel was adhered to a
Razzle Berry card base. White Nuvo Drops finished off the card.

For my card kit projects, all products in bold are part of the kit, and all other
supplies that are listed below are from past MFT releases.

I prepared a card base from Natural card stock and adhered a rectangle frame.
The solid butterfly was stamped with Versamark ink, heat embossed with black 
embossing powder and cut out with the matching dies.

You can color the butterflies with your choice of medium. I chose to ink distress
over the embossing. I adhered them to the card, stamped the sentiment, then
finished off the card with dark gray enamel dots.
