MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #307

It's time for another Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things.
Ready to meet Sketch #307? Here it is.

And here's my take on the sketch.

A stitched rectangle panel was partially ink distressed and spattered with
water, then adhered to a Smooth White card base. Assorted snowflakes were
cut from sparkly silver card stock and adhered to the card.

The sentiment was silver embossed and I finished off the card with a few
small clear sequins. I stayed pretty close to the sketch and can chalk up
another Christmas card!

MFT Kitschy Kitchen Card Kit Release

It's time! You may now purchase My Favorite Things November Card Kit--
Kitschy Kitchen--in the MFT Store. Before you go, I have one more project to
share with you to show you the versatility of this kit.

Black striped patterned paper was cut with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24

and adhered to a white card base. The vase, coffee pot, and cups were stamped with

black ink and colored with Copic markers.

The flowers were stamped with red ink and the centers were colored with
Copics, then fussy cut. All the images were adhered to a scalloped oval then
adhered to the striped panel. The card was finished off with the stamped
sentiment and a few clear sequins.

MFT November Card Kit--Kitschy Kitchen Day 2

Today we're sharing "out of the box" projects using the Kitschy Kitchen Card Kit together
with other MFT products you may already have, to give you more usage from the kit.

Here's my project--recipe cards.

A super simple project with just a bit of masking. Panels were cut with the rectangle
element from Blueprints 24 and adhered to gingham patterned paper. I always feel that
gingham speaks "homespun" and "homemade", don't you?

Images were stamped on the cards together with a fun sentiment. There are so many
images in the set, you could stamp up a bunch of cards and gift them to the cooks
in your life.

Here's my project using supplies only from the kit, together with some basic supplies.

Using the ink colors from the kit, I stamped assorted images on a panel,
then adhered it to a Tropical Teal card base. The sentiment was white
embossed on a strip of teal card stock and adhered to the card.

Color Throwdown 418

I'm playing for the first time with the Color Throwdown challenge! I love
the colors for Challenge #418--orange, rust, teal and copper. So pretty!

And here's what I came up with.

The vases were die cut from watercolor card stock and ink distressed with

several Distress inks. The foliage and oval shadow were die cut from Brick Red
card stock. The diecuts were assembled on a framed Primitive Cream card base.
The card was finished off with the sentiment and a few enamel dots.

I have to admit to being a little intimidated by color challenges, but this
was fun, and may be the start of playing with more color.
